Welcome to the 2027 AXS Autocross Series & Time Attack at Atlanta Motorsports Park!
Three dates are OPEN TO THE PUBLIC : May 8, June 19, and July 31.
Autocross is available to all drivers Age 18+ with a valid driver's license.
Time Attack is open to drivers age 18+ with prior HPDE experience.
Overview
We are hosting two competition events open to street and race modified vehicles on the same day. Be sure to sign up for the correct event, after referencing the information here. Beginners are welcome in our Autocross event, but Time Attack requires appropriate prior track experience due to the higher speeds and number of cars on track at the same time. These events do not require a racing license, and are separate from our wheel-to-wheel club racing series.
Entry is for one event day and prize pool.
Autocross
- Overview:
A cone course will be set up on the back portion of the main track from 9am - 12:30pm. Drivers start from a stand still in the designated starting area. The goal is to drive as fast as possible while trying to avoid knocking over cones and complete a timed run at the finish line. Any cone(s) knocked over during a run will result in a disqualification of that run.
Drivers will be divided into small groups called "flights" with scheduled time blocks by competition class. You will get 3 runs back to back to back in your flight group. Your single fastest recorded run is used for scoring. After every group has completed their 2nd flight, the course will remain open until the scheduled end time, but runs will be first come, first serve, and not count towards daily awards.
One front seat passenger, with the correct helmet and safety gear matching the driver's safety gear, is allowed in the Autocross course.
DRIVERS ARE NOT REQUIRED TO SHAG CONES!!!
- Eligibility and Pricing:
Anyone 18+ years of age with a valid (US) drivers license is eligible to participate.
Participants are required to wear an approved Helmet (SA2020, SA2025, current FIA rating for auto racing). Helmets are available for rent at Discovery Parts.

Time Attack
- Overview:
Compete against yourself and compete against others in this non wheel-to-wheel competitive driving event. Set a fast time and get your name on the AMP Top Times Leaderboard for production and track cars.
- Track and Competition:
Time Attack will take place on the FULL COURSE only in 2027. Starting after lunch, drivers will use full 1.98 mile track for one sighting lap sesion, and two timed competition sessions. Participants will get 2x 10min open lapping sessions in groups of 6-12 cars. Your fastest lap in each session counts towards the competition. Top times in each class win.
There is absolutely no passing without a point-by from the driver being overtaken. Drivers must give a point-by before the end of the 2nd passing zone they come to when impeding traffic. Part of the strategy in this event is how you navigate traffic and gap yourself for a fast lap. No passengers are allowed during any Time Attack or Club Racing event. This includes all practice sessions, and there will be no exceptions.
- Eligibility and Pricing:
Anyone 18+ years of age with a valid (US) drivers license and prior HPDE track experience is eligible to participate. If you have never driven on a race track, or been approved for Solo driving without an instructor you CANNOT enter the Time Attack event.
Cars must pass a basic safety check to make sure they have functional seat belts, are road worthy and have no unsecured items in or outside the car.
You will need a MyLaps TR2 transponder to be scored. We have some for rent ($45/Day) or you can purchase one at Discovery Parts
See "Classifications" below on this page for information about which class your vehicle is eligible to sign up with.
