Autocross Sunday #13

Auto Club Speedway

About this event

WE WILL BE RUNNING ALL THE GROUPS IN THE MORNING FOR DECEMBER. PLEASE READ THE BELOW FOR THE CHANGES.

The Cal Club Autocross Sunday Championship Series concludes at our winter home, Auto Club Speedway, in Fontana. This is the 13th of a scheduled 13 events of the 2017 season. These year-end events become the time to either close gaps or solidify leads for both team and individual awards. Good luck to all as we near the end of the 2017 season.

Solo, or autocross, is a low speed, timed, car handling event set up as a small road course lined with orange traffic cones on a large parking lot or aircraft runway. The emphasis is on handling and car control and courses are laid out so that the top speed is limited to what would typically be encountered during normal driving.

Autocross Sunday events are open to all SCCA members. If you’re not an SCCA member, do not worry. During the online registration process, your weekend membership will be included with your registration fee!

Schedule (we will be running all competition in the morning)

We will have 2 grids, A and B, and will be swapping workers while the course is hot. Our goal is to run everyone in the morning and have time left over for those who want to do fun runs. Fun runs will be split up into 2 groups and will work/run. You must have a vehicle number in order to compete on Autocross Sundays. The best way to get a number is to purchase a permanent number via a points cards. Points cards are available for purchase online here. If you’re not ready to purchase a points card, a random 6xx number will be assigned to you at the registration table along with a matching paper number that can be taped to your car. If you have already have a permanent number on your vehicle, you may have the option to use a random 6xx number or convert your existing number by placing a one (1) and the appropriate number of zeros in front of your existing number to create a 1xxx number.
