Autocross - Pocono East Course Aug 25-26th

This event will be our 4th Autocross event for 2018 --- at Pocono Racetrack, 'East" course (infield)

Memberships with NNJR-PCA, RTR-PCA and NNJR-SCCA will all be honored for this event.

Note: Saturday is FULL and no further drivers will be accepted.

There are still openings on Sunday. If you are on the waiting list, please do not just show up.

This event will be operated under NNJR-PCA rules, by a combined operations team.

Format will be 4 heats.   Each driver will run once before lunch and once after lunch.

We expect between 7-10 runs total; depending on weather, attendance and technical success :-)

This event last year was EPIC.

There will be refreshments / social activity Saturday night once the track goes cold.  We are looking into a block of rooms locally Saturday night.

This will be an exciting day of autocross.  We will set a course that creates a challenging and safe autocross environment.

Autocross is also a great venue to learn how to drive your car and learn - car control, proper braking techniques, how to calculate the proper line, and how your car handles at the limit (or beyond), all in a safe environment.  We will have instructors available to coach you.  (Be sure to talk to your instructor about what you want to learn.)

It's also a great & FUN way to learn your car's true potential, and have a fun day with your friends - even if you are not a "competitive" autocrosser.

But don't be surprised if the friendly competition grows on you :-)

NNJR-PCA, RTR-PCA and NNJR-SCCA members pay the member rate.  Others pay a premium as per the registration prices.  On-site registration and payment carries a $15 surcharge.  If you do register on-site know your class and have exact cash or check! We will not have change.

If you do not want to deal with the complexities of classing your car, simply select "FUN" - you will still receive your times, but you will not be competing with others in a class.

We will be running a simplified set of classes for this event. The goal is to create more opportunity for friendly competition, and less time concerning technical details of classing.

Please note that while the classes are simplified - modified cars must move up a class (or more) based on a points system. The most common points come from R-compound tires below 200 treadwear, slicks, etc.  Please tally up your performance oriented mods and class yourself appropriately.
