About this event
Please join the Northeast Chapter of the Audi Club of North America and the Hudson Champlain Regional Porsche Club of American to celebrate summer at the Saratoga Automobile Museum on Saturday, July 24th at 10:00am for an Audi/Porsche Lawn Show. All makes, models and years of Audi’s or Porsche’s are welcome to this event.
The Saratoga area truly offers something for everyone including a casino, horse racing, bicycle trails, several lakes and streams for water activities, outlet shopping, great dining and a charming downtown with a Victorian flair. A short drive will take you to the Adirondack Park for an unparalleled outdoor experience with miles of scenic back roads perfect for an Audi or Porsche! Join us for the very first Audi/Porsche Lawn Show in Saratoga along with a BBQ chicken lunch from Brooks BBQ.
The Museum is currently displaying a superb collection of head-turning wood-bodied cars, including one example from every year that Chrysler marketed its marvelous, and now Classic Town and Country models. As well, as a range of General Motors woodies, including a "barn find" unrestored 1942 Oldsmobile, a massive, unrestored and well-preserved 1946 Buick Roadmaster and a very rare 1947 Nash Suburban that's currently undergoing restoration. The Olds and the Nash will be on display to show the challenges, complexity and intricate nature of a full restoration on a wood-bodied car.
The first 25 to register will receive a free lunch from Brooks BBQ courtesy of European Autoworks in Gloversville, NY. Please contact Carly Connors at carly.connors@yahoo.com if you have any questions. We hope to see you in Saratoga!
