Audi Club RMC Westbound & Down Mountain Tour

For our August tour we will embrace the natural beauty of our Western Foothills and take full advantage of the abundance of curves that their roads offer. Our day will start at Sittin’ Pretty Autowerks in Centennial, CO. Participants in the tour can arrive as early as 7AM. Sittin’ Pretty has offered to provide breakfast and an “open house” experience with the opportunity to see some of the cool stuff that they are doing on cars. The plan is to leave by 8:30AM. 

We'll cruise west on E-470 to exit west on US-285S to Conifer and then continue along Co Rd 73 to Evergreen. From there we will turn onto Squaw Pass Rd (the Road to Mt. Evans) and drive a super fun twisty / curvy 18 mile route until we reach the historic Echo Lake Lodge. We will take a 30-45 minute break at the Lodge for everyone to use the facilities, enjoy the mountain ambiance, shop in the gift shop and/or stretch your legs for a short walk to Echo Lake. We will reassemble and head west on CO-103N (also nice and curvy) and make our way down the hill to finish up with lunch at the award-winning Westbound & Down Brewpub in Idaho Springs. They are known for great food, beverages and a terrific atmosphere. There is a great chance to explore the charming and quaint Idaho Springs on your own after lunch. It is a true Colorado Mountain Town Experience. 

Note: On the following registration screen you will be asked how many people will be participating in the driving tour, as well as how many reservations for lunch. They are separate fields in case you would prefer not to participate in the group meal. 

Additionally, making a lunch reservation does not cover the cost of the meal. You will be responsible for your own check at the restaurant.

Total tour time is estimated at 3 hours and 90 miles (2 hours drive time).

Schedule

• Arrive at Sittin’ Pretty Autowerks from 7- 8:00AM
• Mandatory drivers meeting will be held at 8:15AM, then depart for our drive
• Stop for 30-45 minute fun break at the Echo Lake Lodge, around 10:15AM
• Depart the Echo Lake Lodge just before 11:00AM
• Arrive at Westbound & Down Brewpub at 11:30AM
• Event concludes at the start of lunch - 11:30AM

Please have your car gassed up, drinks, snacks, and restroom break completed so we can leave at 8:30am. There will be restrooms at our starting location, Sittin Pretty Autowerks. A map will be provided of the route to every car, if desired.

You do not have to be an Audi Club member to participate. So, invite your friends!

IMPORTANT!
We ask that everyone abide by the Colorado state guideline, those vaccinated do not have to wear a mask, but our stops at business along the way may require a mask. This is considered an outdoor event. This event will be considered concluded when we reach Westbound & Bound Brewpub in Idaho Springs. All participants will need to sign an event liability waiver and communicable disease waiver prior to starting the tour. These waivers will be all online based, using your phone to sign them electronically. We will not have paper waivers to sign in person.
