Audi Club RMC Schnitzel tour

For our July tour we will relax and explore our appreciation of German cars and food. Our day will start at the well-known Presitge Imports, Audi and Porsche dealer in Lakewood to take in the German engineering we all love. We'll cruise down west Colfax past Red Rocks, Morrison and Chatfield to catch Highway 105 to Palmer Lake. Continuing through Colorado Springs, we will make a stop at the Penrose Heritage Museum on the grounds of the Broadmoor Hotel. This museum documents automotive history - but especially the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb. If you haven't seen it before it's a fantastic experience with much to see in an hours time. We'll then head a few miles down the road to wrap up with lunch at Edelwiess German Restaurant. Enjoy the schnitzels, wurst, beers and strudels with Gemutlichkiet.

Note: On the following registration screen you will be asked how many people will be participating in the driving tour, as well as how many reservations for lunch. They are separate fields in case you would prefer not to participate in the group meal. Additionally, making a lunch reservation does not cover the cost of the meal. You will be responsible for your own check at the restaurant.

Total tour time is estimated at 4 hours and 90 miles (2 hours drive time).

Schedule

• Arrive at Prestige Imports by 8:00 am
• Mandatory drivers meeting will be held at 8:15 am, then depart for our drive
• Stop for quick stretch/bathroom break at Safeway in Monument, around 10:30 am
• Arrive at Penrose Museum just before 11:00 am
• Depart Penrose at 12:00 pm
• Arrive at Edelweiss at 12:30 pm
• Event concludes at the start of lunch - 12:30 pm

Please have your car gassed up, drinks, snacks, and restroom break completed so we can leave at 8:30am. There will be restrooms at our starting location, Prestige Imports. A map will be provided of the route to every car.

You do not have to be an Audi Club member to participate. So, invite your friends!

IMPORTANT!
We ask that everyone abide by the Colorado state guideline, those vaccinated do not have to wear a mask, but our stops at business along the way may require a mask. This is considered an outdoor event. This event will be considered concluded when we reach Edelweiss German Restaurant in Colorado Springs. All participants will need to sign an event liability waiver and communicable disease waiver prior to starting the tour. These waivers will be all online based, using your phone to sign them electronically. We will not have paper waivers to sign in person.
