Accelerating Change: Women's Driver's Education Program

In celebration of International Women’s Day, PCA-LA and Porsche Fresno are please to bring you Accelerating Change: Women’s Track Day! Join us for a women’s Driver’s Education program featuring Christina Nielsen, three-time racing champion, as our guest instructor


Christina Nielsen, a three-time racing champion who will be sharing her experiences and tips on how to get the most out of your track experience.

Event Safety Orientation: Wednesday, March 6, 2019 — 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Track Date: Thursday, March 7, 2019
Track Time: 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Venue: Buttonwillow Raceway Track located at 24551 W Lerdo Hwy, Buttonwillow, CA 93206

We strongly encourage any participant who has not participated in a Driver's Education before or who does not have track experience to participate in the Wednesday, March 6 Event Safety Orientation which will take place at 7:30 p.m. in a hotel near the Racetrack.


$150.00 per attendee, which includes track time, lunch and end-of-day social event (Breakfast and guest meals available for purchase).
Instructor cost is $50 and includes meals, social event and a special Instructor and Advanced driver run group for all Instructors that come to Mentor a student.

This event is open to all women, 18+ years of age with a valid driver's license. No prior on-track driving experience required. Participants will be required to sign all appropriate waivers. This is a PCA event run under PCA rules. Guys are more than welcome to instruct and support. We hope you’ll join in on the fun.

Cars, Helmets and Clothing:
Participants must provide their own cars, and cars must pass tech inspections. This event is open to all car marques and is not exclusive to Porsche. No high centre-of-gravity SUVs, trucks, minivans or large sedans.
Participants should provide their own helmet which must be certified Snell SA2015 or SA2005 or higher (other helmets are acceptable if they are approved for PCA Club Racing). We wil have a limited numer of helmets to borrow.
Footwear must be enclosed, non-slip, with a relatively smooth sole. Hiking type deep lugged soles are not acceptable.

Advance registration is mandatory and there will be no same-day sign-ups. Participants who wish to arrive the night before should seek accommodations independently.
