This year's driving tour is designed with your flexibility in mind.  On Saturday, we'll start in beautiful Palmer Lake with breakfast, then head towards Salida for a special luncheon location.  After lunch you can choose to take a fun route back to Denver, or to continue your enjoyment towards a final destination of El Monte Sagrado Resort in Taos, NM.  Once there, enjoy a gourmet meal prepared by acclaimed Chef Henry Chaperont, a silent auction and grand accomodations.  On Sunday you are on your own to explor Taos and the surrounding areas along with recommended optional tours and routes home.  The Denver Round Table's goal is to provide a mini-vacation with a full two days of scenic driving, great food, beautiful accomodations, lively conversation with other participants, all while support our youth oriented charities..  It is not a race or a test of skill, and ample time will be allowed for pictures, sightseeing, and discovery.  The enjoyment of the day will be enhanced for the participants by knowing that all of their entry fee (less only the cost of meals) will be going to outstanding charities for children.

The tour is open to all who wish to have a beautiful Fall day of driving guided by a route booklet that will allow you to experience roads less traveled.  The event is open to all vehicle types and membership in a car club is not required.  Throughout the day you will have a chance to meet great folks, enjoy beautiful roads, and be instrumental in helping the kids in the programs we support.

THE CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL COLORADO SPORTS PROGRAM
In 1968 The Children's Hospital Colorado Sports Program became the first ski program in the country for children with disabilities.  Participants have physical disabilities ranging from amputations and spinal cord or brain injuries to long term illnesses and conditions like cerebral palsy, cancer and spina bifida.  For many of these kids, it is their first opportunity to move fast enough to feel the wind in their ahir, and hve the freedom of speed and control that we all take for granted in our everyday lives.  That freedome translates to self-confidence, self-esteem, and all the other "self" words critical to a brighter future.  The Sorts Program offers year-round involvement in leisure pursuits such as skiing, boarding, golfiong, and fishing.  Over 100 children and their families are able to enjoy tehse unique opportunities each year.
