Our 2nd Annual PCA Founders’ Region Concours d’Elegance will be held on Sunday, April 28, 2024, in Tysons Corner, VA, again on the rooftop parking garage located at 7950 Westpark Drive (just behind the Tysons Galleria and across the street from the McLean Hilton Hotel).  Please be advised that the garage also has an entrance next to the 7901 Jones Branch Drive building but we will be using only the Westpark Drive entrance for this event.  Please note that the 7901 Jones Branch Road building is at the corner of Jones Branch Road and Westpark Drive. The garage at 7950 Westpark Drive is located BEHIND the 7901 Jones Branch Road Building on the right as you face the building and further from the Westpark corner.  Restrooms available for our use are located inside the office building in front of the garage.

We will have the entire garage roof to ourselves in a location that can accommodate about 300 cars.  As a result, there will be plenty of space for generous parking to avoid door dings!

Our schedule for the event is as follows:

8:30-10:00 AM: Arrival of cars (all cars to be judged must be in place no later than 10:00 AM.  We do our best to judge everyone consistently and fairly and can do this best if we have sufficient time.  THANK YOU!)

9:00: General admission begins

10:30-1:00: Judging of cars

1:00-1:30: Tabulation of judges' scores (Once the judging is completed, all scores are tallied, winners are determined and will be announced soon after.)

1:45-2:30: Presentation of awards

2:30-3:00: Cars depart

3:00-4:00: Staff clean up

Registration for cars to be judged is in advance ONLY for this event; there will be no on-site registration for cars to be judged.  Online registration will open on Sunday, February 21, 2024, and will close the week before the event at midnight on Sunday, April 21, 2024.

Owners wishing to display their cars, but not have them judged, need not register in advance and may arrive on the day of the event and pay the $30.00 fee upon entry, cash only.  However, it is appreciated if ALL cars register in advance so that we have a good idea of the amount of space needed to be set aside for each category of cars.

The entry fee for the Concours is $35.00 per car for each car judged and, as noted above, $30 for display only.  We will have complimentary hamburgers and hot dogs for owners of all cars registered to be judged upon presentation of the ticket received upon entry.  Food will be available for nominal purchase for all others.  Moreover, for the first 80 cars to register to be judged, goodie bags will be provided.  The bags themselves are lunch-sized insulated bags engraved with the event name, date and location.  Inside will be a multicolored microfiber towel printed with the event name, date and location (and a profile of a 911), Speed Shine, a waterless wash Griot’s Garage product, a package of items from Hagerty for outside activities and a $50 discount coupon from 46 Enzuca, a Rennline supplier. Currently, our sponsors include 1) Hagerty Insurance, (2) Reflections Auto Salon (a travelling first rate detailer) (571-233-7984), (3) VAL Collision Center in Falls Church for first-rate repairs (heaven forbid!) (703-780-7200; valcollisioncenter.com), (4) 46 Enzuca Corner, a Rennline supplier (www.enzuca.com) and (5) Porsche of Tysons Corner.

We would like to invite your special Porsche to participate in the judged class at this year’s Concours.  We have an easy judging process, detailed below, that is fun for new and experienced participants.  The top three (3) finishers in each category will be awarded beautiful, engraved glass trophies.  Additionally, we will be awarding five (5) Grand Awards to the top cars at the show.  Our sponsor, Reflections Auto Salon, is contributing a Swissvax kit to the Best of Marque winner.

THERE IS NO CHARGE OR NEED TO REGISTER TO ATTEND THE CONCOURS AS A SPECTATOR AND PARKING IS FREE.

Potomac Porsche Club Concours Committee Chair Gary M. Sidell and Vice-Chair Percy White, Jr. have chosen a diverse and highly qualified group of experienced judges.  Our judging team, led by head judge John Truban, former Concours Chair, will be scoring cars based on cleanliness of the (1) exterior, (2) interior, (3) engine and (4) trunk compartments, as well as on the (5) owner’s history with the car and its overall impact.  We do NOT inspect or score the undercarriage or wheel wells of the car.  We have designed the car classes to allow for the widest range of Porsche automobiles to compete and be displayed.  The particular classes are listed below.  Of the Grand Awards, the Best of Marque Award will be given to the top-scoring Porsche on the show field.
