About this event
Come out and join us for the 2nd event of the Spokes 2026 season!
Welcome to the Spokes/SASCA Solo-Cross!
What is Solo-Cross?
Solo-Cross is a high-octane twist on traditional Autocross. Think of it as a Pro Solo Lite: you get the heart-pounding "drag race" start of a Pro Solo, but on a single, unified course.
The Main Event: The "Christmas Tree" Start
Forget the green flag. In Solo-Cross, you’ll pull up to a drag racing-style Christmas Tree.
-
Staging: You'll pull forward until the "Pre-Stage" and "Stage" lights are lit.
-
The Drop: Once you are staged, the yellow lights will flash down to Green.
-
The Launch: Your time starts the moment that light hits green. This means your Reaction Time (RT) is part of the game! A sleepy start will cost you on the scoreboard, making the launch just as critical as your cornering speed.
Mind the Red Light!
Because this is a "Pro" style start, the rules are simple but strict: If you leave before the green light, you get a Red Light.
-
The Penalty: A Red Light results in a DNF (Did Not Finish) for that run.
-
The Silver Lining: Even if you red-light, keep driving! You still get to complete your run, get your time for practice, and enjoy the course—it just won’t count toward your official standings for the day.
The Course
Unlike a standard Pro Solo—which requires two identical mirrored courses—Solo-Cross uses one single course. This allows us to create a larger, more flowing, and more technical layout than a mirrored format usually permits. You get the adrenaline of the Pro start followed by the full-scale autocross experience you know and love.
