About this event
This event will be a combination of a test-and-tune, fun runs, novice instruction, and a dial-in bracket-style competition. The cost is $100 per person, and all proceeds go toward the American Heart Association. The event is limited to 50 participants.
We will have a longer course set up for the day. You will get as many runs as you can complete on the course during the two-hour morning session. Everyone must work for one hour in the morning, either helping with pre-event setup or working the course for one hour. The remaining time can be spent taking as many runs as you can get in.
If you are a novice and would like an instructor for some of your time during those two hours, please let us know!
In the afternoon, we will have competition runs. When you come up to the line for your run, you will give the time you think you will run (this is your dial-in). If you break out, you are eliminated. The drivers who are closest to their dial-in times will move on to the second round. We will continue elimination rounds until we have a winner! First place gets $200, and second place gets $100.
If you attend both events for the weekend, you will receive a $25 credit toward a future HSCC event.

Spectator Policy
At the Jerry Sutton Public Safety Training Center in Franklin, NC, people are not allowed to spectate around the border of the course pavement. There will be a limited spectator area at the starting area, but absolutely no one will be allowed near the finish area. Anyone planning to spectate inside the gate must also be on site by 9:30am and attend the driver's meeting. Participants and non-driver family/friends are allowed to be with cars and trailers in the paddock areas. If someone is strictly spectating and is not a family/friend member who came with a driver, they must remain outside the fenced area.
Event requirements
Insurance Liability Waiver:
Everyone, including any passengers or spectators, must sign the insurance waiver. Basically, this applies to anyone on the property for the duration of the event. No exceptions.
Minimum Age Requirements:
Drivers must be at least 16 years old and possess a valid, full driver's license (provisional licenses are not acceptable). Kart drivers must be at least 5 years old. Any driver under the age of 18 must also have a minor waiver on file with HSCC management. This waiver must be signed by a parent or legal guardian in the presence of an HSCC officer. Passengers are permitted in the front seat only and they must meet the same requirements as drivers.
Proper car numbers are MANDATORY.
For our events to run smoothly it is essential that we be able to properly identify all vehicles at a glance. If you do not yet have magnetic numbers, we have painters tape for you to borrow.
