About this event
NEW RACE COURSE The Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix Schenley Park race features a NEW RACE COURSE in 2025! Dubbed the Schenley Oval, the new 2.1 mile road course follows the original track along the Boulevard of the Allies through the haybale chicane and then veers left just before the Panther Hollow Bridge to begin a long winding climb up Overlook Drive. The new 21 turn road course is packed with technical challenges that stay true to our tradition of vintage road racing through the heart of a city park. This race is the highlight of our 10-day motorsport festival. PVGP homepage for Schenley Park Races
LOTUS MARQUE OF THE YEAR It was 40 years ago when the PVGP decided to feature a marque to headline their various events. Lotus was the first marque to be honored as Marque of the Year in 1985. Lotus owners are encouraged to register their Seven, FJ18, 23, 51 and Elans to showcase these British racing legends on the racetrack. Drivers are also encouraged to participate in the many festivities throughout Race Week.
MISSION The driving goal of the PVGP is to honor our automotive history by encouraging the preservation and racing of vintage cars in a format that emphasizes driver safety and etiquette while presenting a friendly and welcoming atmosphere for our drivers – all to raise valuable funds for our autism and Intellectual and developmental disability charity partners.
43rd YEAR The PVGP celebrates its 43rd year this summer. Many thanks to the racers who make this all possible and to the race side volunteers who keep everyone safe. This started as a single-day race on the Labor Day weekend in 1983 and has grown into a full two weeks of motorsport activities.
CHARITY Since 1983 our racers have shared the wheel with the PVGP in helping to donate more than $7 million to help individuals affected by autism and intellectual and developmental disabilities. Entry fees are suggested donations and are tax-deductible. We stage charity rides to raise funds for our charities. Your participation is appreciated. These rides provide a once-in-a-lifetime experience for race fans.
TOW ONCE, RACE TWICE! Race with us at Pitt Race, and the PVGP will securely store your rig in the Pitt Race paddock for the week.
