Who: Drivers who hold a valid SCCA Novice Permit who are members of SCCA

Note: You must complete SCCA's on-line drivers course prior to attending the weekend. Once you have completed the course, print out your completion certificate and bring it with you to the Friday orientation course.

Instructions for on-line driver's course:

No shared cars in the drivers school.

What: Hyler Craft Memorial Drivers School

Hosted by: SCCA - Buccaneer Region

Cost: $425.  Credit or debit cards only.  These will be charged when you arrive at the track and register for the event.  No cash, money orders or checks accepted.  If your novice permit gets signed off after the event and you want to register for the race on Sunday, you'll received a $50 discount towards the race.  You will need to arrange with the registrar for this discount.  You can register for the SARRC race that follows the drivers school (the link to that registration is  prior to completing your driver school requirements, but make sure you let the registrar know if for some reason you can't run.  You will also be able to register for the race at the track during registration hours on Saturday afternoon or on Sunday morning.

Note that the schedule is a combined schedule for the drivers school, SARRC qualifying and Driverz Cup race on Saturday.

The tire provider for the weekend is Appalachian Race Tire.  Attendees can call them to order ahead at 856-681-6622, or on their website at and they will bring the tires when they come down.

93 octane will NOT be available at the track.  Only unleaded 98 and 110 leaded.

Note, there will not be a test day on Friday, only the drivers school and Driverz Cup activity.

Event requirements

You must have an SCCA-issued novice permit to enter this event.  (You must be an SCCA member to obtain a novice permit.) 

Please contact SCCA national office (800-770-2055) well in advance to obtain your novice permit.  Start now, it has to be mailed to you.

Please bring the following items with you to registration when you check in for this event:

  • SCCA novice permit
  • SCCA membership credentials
  • Print-out of the completion certificate showing you have completed the on-line course

COVID NOTICE TO PARTICIPANTS: Ultimately, it is your responsibility to assess the risk to you, both on-track and off, and to make the decision on whether or not to participate. If you are feeling unwell or are experiencing symptoms such as temperature of 100.4f, cough, or shortness of breath please stay home. If you have been in contact with someone who has been experiencing these symptoms in the last two weeks, please stay home.  All attendees and participants are reminded to be respectful of others.

If you are diagnosed with COVID-19 within two (2) weeks of attending an SCCA event, we ask that you cancel your registration.
