The GGLC Autocross school is a joint event with Porsche Club America - Golden Gate Region.
Autocross is the perfect venue for learning what your car can really do, as well as developing your car control skills, in a safe and controlled environment. If you have an interest in learning how to drive your Porsche or Lotus at or near its limits, this event will provide you hands-on driving instruction that prepares you for participation in autocross events.
Registration is limited. Registrations received after the capacity has been reached will be added to the wait list. Registration Fee is $100 for GGLC Members and $120 for Non-Members.
PCA members driving Porsches GGLC members with Lotus will receive preference in registration.
The PCA-GGR/GGLC Autocross School is an all-day event aimed at those who have never autocrossed or those with little autocross experience.
PRE-EVENT
Prior to the day of the Autocross School, we will send you reference materials to review. These materials and links will help you become familiar with what to expect at the school.

AUTOCROSS SCHOOL at the Cow Palace, May 28th 7:30am to 4:30pm

7:30-8:15 Check-In and Tech Inspection
8:15-9:00 Driver’s Meeting (mandatory) & Group Break-out
9:00-11:30 Driving exercises
11:30-12:15 Lunch (Lunch will be provided – sandwiches & drink)
12:15-12:45 Course Walk Through
12:45-3:30 Practice Autocross
3:30-4:15 Instructor Fun Runs (Drivers can ride along)
4:15-5:00 Breakdown & Clean-Up (all participants)
You will be asked for a membership number during the event registration process. Simply type in "N/A" and continue.

GGLC AUTOCROSS SCHOOL
It's been many years since the GGLC had an autocross school. Now in partnership with PCA-GGR we are presenting the 2022 GGLC/PCA-GGR Autocross School at the Cow Palace. Only a small number of 1st time and beginner drivers can enter.There will be hands on instruction from experienced drivers.
Learn about your Lotus! Gain confidence behind the wheel! And enjoy and relish the thrills of exploring the brilliance of your Lotus.
WHAT IS NEEDED & RULES:
- IMPORTANT review the GGLC COVID-19 rules and requirements. Not following these protocols is grounds for dismissal without refund.
- Bring water and snacks. Lunch is included with the school.
- Bring a helmet (if you have one), DOT or better, some loaners will be available. A tire pressure gauge will be helpful
- Spectators are discouraged. The Gate will close at 9am.
- Sun-screen is a must if you're prone to burning. It gets windy, so bring a warm jacket.
- Motorsports are dangerous and may result in damage or injury, a waiver will need to be signed to gain entry to the site.
- All occupants (driver and passenger) must have a helmet and seat belt on while on course.
- Age limit is 18 to drive, 16 to ride, drivers must have valid driver's license.
- Speed limit within the AutoX site is a maximum of 15 MPH
- Everyone entering the Autocross site MUST STOP at the gate and provide a signed GGLC and Cow Palace waiver. You will not be allowed to enter the site without signed waivers
