This year's Vermont Covered Bridge Tour will visit twelve covered bridges while traversing 120 miles of Vermont's most scenic roadways, with ample time planned for photo ops en route. The lunch break will be in Middlebury VT, where there are multiple places to eat; the the cost of lunch is on you. After lunch we will drive through the Green Mountain State Forest and traverse some of Vermont's finest dirt roads. Time for rest stops in the middle of the morning and afternoon sections are incorporated into the route. The finish is a surprise, but if you like Micro brews and some of the finest wood cooked food, you'll be having a great time at the finish, which is conveniently located 5 miles from Exit 2 on Route 89 south, 30 miles north of the Vermont/New Hampshire state line.
The 2017 Covered Bridge Tour starts at the Hampton Inn, 47 Farrell Road, Rutland, VT 05701. Tour check-in opens at 7:30 AM in the conference room and the first car off will be around 9:00 AM Saturday morning. The lunch break in Middlebury will be around noon, with first car off on the afternoon leg at 1:15 and an expected arrival at the finish about 4:15. Entry fees are $25 per car (pack in as many people as you want). You're on your own to find overnight accommodations, there are several hotels in the immediate area, including the Hampton Inn and a Holiday Inn.
