2012 Tire Rack SCCA Dixie National Tour
South Georgia Motorsports ParkAbout this event
Warm weather and southern hospitality are the headliners for the 6th consecutive National Solo Series kick-off, deep in the heart of Dixie!
There is no better way to start your Solo season than in the warmth of the sun and the hospitality of the Dixie Region. Dixie Region is one of the smallest in the nation, yet they continue to kick off the Solo season with this top-notch event. This year’s event is being billed as another southern classic with all the fixin’s. Event Chairman and course designer Robert Lewis promises a course guaranteed to blow away the winter blues . The long, narrow site typically yields courses in the mid-50 second range with fast, runway style transitions as a mainstay. You can always count on a classic southern cook-out for the Welcome Party. Can’t get enough of southern grub? Hit the Catfish House on Saturday night for the finest fried food, grits and all the fixin’s.

The competition at a National Tour takes place over two days on two separate courses, like Solo Nationals. The first day, competitors each get three runs or chances to drive one of the courses and on the second day they get three runs on the other course. Like any other Solo competition, runs are timed to 1/1000th of a second and knocking a cone down means a penalty of 2 seconds added to that time. The best times from each course are added together for the final class standings. All classes at National Tours are the same, standard Solo classes that you’ll find at Solo Nationals and as defined by the SCCA in the Solo Rulebook.
Cap is 275.
Registration Fee $102. After March 5, 2012, 12pm CDT all entries must be faxed or scanned to the National office. A non-refundable fee of $138.00 is due for entries received after 12pm CDT.
