1 TrackMasters at Laguna Seca Raceway - 105db
WeatherTech Raceway Laguna SecaAbout this event
TrackMasters Racing at Laguna Seca / WeatherTech Raceway!
Sound Limit - 105db
Format - This is currently set as a single TMR run group within a partner group's event. Given the high sound limit and the cars that require high sound limits, we have decided to run this group under our open passing rules. If we have a flood of drivers and a waitlist forming for this event, we may add a 2nd run group on one or both days running our Mixed Passing rules. Which day is TBD.
Open Passing - None aggressive, clean passing anywhere on track, preferrably before braking zones, NOT in apexes, and no 'Race Passing'. And clearly, no crazy passing in other stupid locations like the Corkscrew!
Who is TrackMasters? We are a group formed 30 years ago in NorCal when there were less than a handful of organizations hosting track events. In the beginning, there were the manufacturers clubs (BMW, Porsche, Shelby, etc) and a very small list of groups running track events. NASA, SCCA, Green Flag Racing, PCA, and TMR. TMR pioneered many of the processes that have since been duplicated by the majority of the other organizations hosting events in our region. Most of these organizations were formed by former members of TMR. TMR has hosted over 400 events in the region, we have an impectable safety record, and we have a genuine passion for the sport. Unlike many other organizations who are in this business to just 'make a buck'.
Who are TMR Drivers? Generally speaking, TMR events consist of very skilled and very courteous drivers in very nice and sometimes very seriously prepared track vehicles. The majority of drivers are also 'like minded' and attend these events to have a great day, develop their driving skills, to meet new friends, and to return home with their vehicles intact and undamaged. If these event traits resonate with you, then TMR may be the group you want to drive with!
Rising Costs - Anyone who's been driving on the NorCal tracks has experienced entry fee increases year to year. Event costs for promotors have gone up by a factor of 4 over the past 20 years, so we also feel the pain. For this facility, we have to pay a premium to provide you a 105db sound limit, on a weekend, so you can bring out those louder toys. In addition, we now have to pay higher prices for basic ancillary services and new ancillary services that were not required in the past. All of these factor add up to higher prices for us and for you, and there's nothing we can do about it.
Here's the format:
- (5) sessions per day
- Open Passing
- Experienced Drivers Only
- Partner group is CFRA
Early Entry Fees: $475 Saturday or $450 Sunday. 2-Day entries are: $900 (this is $125 lower entry fee per day compared to some of our competitors)
