OIR Track Attack

Weather: If it rains, then we run in the rain. We will not run during sever weather (lightning, tornadoes), but will run in accordance with the track ownership policies.

Helmets: We do require that all participants (excluding the parade session) wear approved helmets. Recommended helmets would be 2015 or newer Snell certified. The track does NOT have helmets for rent..

How To Choose Which Group To Be In

We are pleased to be working with Gateway Classic Mustang and BF Goodrich to be back at Ozarks International Raceway for our second year.

While we are celebrating our Ford Legacy, this is event is open to all makes and models so spread the word.

Run group assignment you select during registration on Motorsportsreg may be changed by the Chief Instructor based on driver experience/resume information that you provide during this registration process in MotorsportReg. You will receive/confirm your group assignment when you check in at Registration at the track. Run groups will be limited to no more than 40 cars each/day with the exception of the Novice Group. The Novice Group will be limited to 20 cars each day based on Instructor availability. We expect the event to sell out so register as soon as possible please.

Experience levels for run groups:

A = Advanced (Solo Driving & Open Passing with documented advanced driver status or competition license). Required Dress For Safety will be helmets, long sleeves, long pants and closed shoes.

B = Intermediate 2 (Solo driving with documented advanced driver status). Required Dress For Safety will be helmets, long pants, long sleeve shirt, and closed toe shoes.

C = Intermediate 1 (Experienced with several driving school and open track events). Required Dress For Safety will be helmets, long pants, long sleeve shirt, and closed toe shoes.

D = Novice (Limited experience instruction required). Required Dress For Safety will be helmets, long pants, long sleeve shirt, and closed toe shoes.

Car Sharing: Contact Jason Childress at jason@gatewayclassicmustang.com before registering if you plan to share a car between two drivers who must be qualified to participate in different run groups as determined by the Chief Instructors, Jason and Lonny Childress. Separate registrations including payment of separate registration fees are required for each driver. Open cockpit cars permitted (with stock equipped roll bars, etc.) at the discretion of the lead instructors. To make sure your car is acceptable, please contact Jason Childress at 573-732-3541 Examples of open cockpit cars are BMW Z3s, Convertible Miatas w/o a full competition cage, Convertible Mustangs, AC Cobras, Aerial Atoms, etc.

We will be accepting cars for the day of the event, but you must be at the track no later than 7am so you can register and be ready to be at the 8am driver's meeting.

Track Schedule:

Wednesday May 3rd:

Arrival - Check in will be at building A (the house) as you pull onto the track property. We are opening the gates at 10am and will be running a all groups on the track at 2pm until 6pm or until dusk. This is designed to give you a chance to get familiar with the track before your group sessions begin on Thursday.

Thursday May 4th:

Arrival - Check in will be at building A (the house) as you pull onto the track property. We suggest arriving no later than 7am since the driver’s meeting is at 8am. Trailer parking will be in the parking lot just past building A. Staff members will guide you.

Group 1 - Novice

Group 2 - Intermediate 1 (Slow)

Group 3 - Advanced

Group 4 - Intermediate 2

8am - Driver’s Meeting at (inside bay doors 48, 46 in the paddock garages)

Thursday May 4th:

8:30 - 9:30 - Track Introduction Session (For All Groups)

All groups on the track at the same time at slow speeds. This is designed to give you a chance to get familiar with the track before your group sessions begin. This will be done if we need to for drivers that could not make the Wednesday Track learning event.

9:30 - 9:50 - Group 1

9:50 - 10:10 - Group 2

10:10 - 10:30 - Group 3

10:30 - 10:50 - Group 4

10:50 - 11:10 - Group 1

11:10 - 11:30 - Group 2

11:30 - 11:50 - Group 3

11:50 - 12:10 - Group 4

12:00 - 1:00 - Lunch

12:10 - 12:30 Parade Lap Session

1:10 - 1:30 - Group 1
