Participants will enjoy over 6 hours of classroom and behind-the-wheel driving instruction focused on understanding vehicle dynamics, anti-lock braking and traction control systems through a series of exercises performed in a safe and controlled environment. Designed for newly-licensed and experienced drivers alike, participants will drive their own vehicle under the supervision of an experienced instructor and will learn how to react to impending danger with confidence, precision and control.
The event requires that you have a valid license or permit. If you are under 18 you will need a parent in attendance at all times. The event costs $55 and includes lunch. The event will be held at the East Longmeadow High School and will run from 9am until 4pm.
Students must use their own car, although you may share a car with a friend or parent if you wish. SUVs and pickups are not permitted - the high center of gravity of these vehicles makes them unsuitable for this type of driving event.
Sign up early as places are limited!
For all instructors and volunteers - there will be refreshments and BBQ immediately afterwards. Please check the box if you are attending. There is no cost but we want to keep a track of numbers for ordering food.
Clinics start at 9:00 AM and finish at 4:00 PM. Lunch and refreshments are included for all participants and helpers.
