About this event
The Redwood Region PCA is hosting the Zone 7 Rally School on Saturday February 12th at Sonoma State University in Rohnert Park. The event is open to all PCA members, from any Region. Preregistration is required and will be limited to the first 50 people. The registration fee is $10 per car, not per person. You will also be required to pay a $7 per car parking fee at Sonoma State University.
Road rallies are a team sport; each car requires a driver and a navigator. If possible, both driver and navigator should attend, although this is not a requirement of the Zone 7 Rally school.
The Zone 7 Rally School will begin at 10 AM with classroom demonstrations and discussion, followed by a short practice rally with trophies for the top three cars.
Because rallies involve driving on public roads at legal speeds, they are suitable for any car. An SUV or sedan is just as likely to bring home a trophy as a sports car.
Event requirements
All registration must be done through msreg.com prior to the event. There is no on-site registration.
All attendees must sign a SpeedWaiver at: https://pcaredwood.speedwaiver.com/jkswf. A smartphone is required to sign the SpeedWaiver.
A smartphone will also be required to run the practice rally. In addition, you will need a working odometer, a clock, a simple calculator, a clipboard, and pen or pencil.
Rally software will be discussed in class, but is not required for the practice rally. The free Richta Competitor application is required and the process to install it on your smartphone will be included in the classroom presentation. If you intend to use a "TSD rally application" during the practice rally, you will need a second smartphone, as the Richta Competitor application will not function properly if other applications are running on the same device.
