It looks like we are going to push of the Nurburgring trip to September 2013.
Hello Trackday Drivers,
Want the ultimate event???
We are putting together a trip to the famous Nurburgring in Germany. 12.9 miles, 73 Turns and beer & bratworst at every flag station...
Timeline:
Sometime in September (after Allan France gets married on 9/2/12 and before Oktoberfest on 9/22/12)
We want to get on when they close the track to the public, so no busses, etc.
Some Basics:
At the ring for 1-2 days.
We will be putting together a couple tours: maybe the Porsche, BMW, MBZ or Audi Museums or Factories.
Castles, Wine Country, Historical locations???
Depending on the number of people that attend, we will have vans to drive our group around.
At The Ring:
From what we have learned, 6 laps is a LOT of tracktime.
There is also the GP Course we can drive.
You can take rides on the track in hot cars, share a car with a friend...
Rent your own car.
Tour Guide:
We have Tour Guide/Translator/Chef/Instructor, David "Hanzie" Baertschiger, AKA Audi Dave, who is helping to set this up. He has lived in Germany and has family there.
We also have a Travel Agent that can set up bulk Airline tickets.
Some Basic costs: (do not hold me to these-reference only!)
Airfare: ~1000. to 1500. round trip usd
Hotel: ~100-150. per night usd
Race Car Rental: 500.-3000. usd
Beer: no limit...
Trackday fee???
1 Lap Pass: ~24.euro
4 Lap Pass: ~89. euro
