Event requirements
This is a general company disclaimer from Hot-Laps and Sugar Hill Speedway:
(not all portions may apply to this group event, please contact us if you have any questions)
The safety of all of our guests is our NUMBER ONE PRIORITY at Hot Laps. We outfit each driver with the latest in safety equipment and have a thorough review of the rules and safety regulations before each racing session. In addition, our karts are equipped with "shutdown" transponders which will end an aggressive drivers driving session. We do not tolerate aggressive driving and will give those types of drivers a "time-out" before ending their driving session. Our karts are "ASTM" safety certified, which means they are built to the highest level of safety available in the industry. We insure each event through our Liability insurance company as well.
You must be 18 years of age to compete in our adult karts in a league or as part of our Arrive & Drive program. Proper ID is required for verification purposes. Youth karts used in our Youth Racing School program are available for anyone without a valid drivers' license. PLEASE NOTE: A minor release form must be signed by both parents before participation. Minor release form must be signed on site or if parent will not be present must be sent with child. Youth karts are speed limited for safer use.
If you have a suit and helmet from experience with Chapter track events, the facility has ok'd the use of them instead of using theirs.
