SOVREN welcomes both Race Officials and the S.T.A.R. Team. Membership is not required, and no experience is needed — we will train you.

Race Officials -

Race Officials work directly with racers on and off track in many areas. Positions are: Course Marshall, Corner Marshall (Flagging & Communications), Driver Services, Emergency Services, Hospitality, Paddock Marshall, Pre-Grid / Hot Pits, Registration, Scrutineering (Tech Inspection), Starter / Re-Entry, Stewards / Control, Timing & Scoring, and OTHER)

S.T.A.R. Volunteers

Our S.T.A.R. Team (Spectator Team & Assistance Resources) supports the front‑gate and spectator side of the event. Sample assignments include: Paddock Crowd Control, Ticket Taker, Track Crossing/Access Monitor, Guest Services, Car Corral parking, and Transportation.   

4 hour shift minimum (7:30-11:30, 11:00-3:00, 2:30-6

All S.T.A.R volunteers need to be 16 or older.

If you’re unsure where you want to help, select “Other” and we’ll place you where you’re comfortable.

What to Expect

Training is provided for all positions. Lunch is available if selected. After‑hours social time varies by event, but refreshments are always available.

Meeting Times

Race Officials meet at 8:00 AM between Turns 8 & 9 behind center grandstand.

S.T.A.R. Team meeting coralates to your time selection: 7:00 AM; 10:45 AM, or 2:15 PM Just inside the paddock fence by the car corral S.T.A.R. Lead will contact you with details.

Why Sign Up

Signing up helps organizers plan meals — including lunch each day, evening beverages, and Saturday dinner — and helps Specialty Chiefs plan assignments and positions. You may update your days or specialties any time before the event; you may need to use “Clear Selection” to make changes.

Registration Notes

Online registration closes the night before the event, but walkups are always welcome. All volunteers, whether pre‑registered or not, must check in at on‑Site Registration, which opens at 7:00 AM each day.
