About this event

Audi Club Northwest is excited to initiate this new "University of Quattro" Driver Education program at the Monroe Fairgrounds/Evergreen Speedway, sponsored by University Audi!
Saturday morning starts with our Drivers Education (DE) program for teens and novice drivers and a separate Full Autocross for advanced drivers.
Registration and Tech inspection of the cars begins at 8:00am, with activities for each group getting underway at 8:30am.
Learning to be better drivers is what Audi Club Northwest is all about. For information about what our driving schools look like please go to <http://www.audiclubna.org/about-acna-topmenu-33/acna-driving-schools-topmenu-62>. This link gives you a good overview of the exercises and activities that Audi Club North America driving schools contain.
Drivers Education students will get to experience several "exercises" that include braking (ABS engagement, weight transfer), slalom (steering, smoothness), handling oval (understeer/oversteer correction, throttle) and collision avoidance (looking ahead, steering). These experiences will be paced with "chalk talks" and the opportunity to ask lots of questions. DE participants will get to rotate onto the DE Autocross in the afternoon, beginning after the exercises and chalk talk program wraps up in the mid-afternoon about 3:00pm until we close the event at about 5:00pm. This DE Autocross is not required, but it is a great way to "put it all together" in practice and fun. Helmets are not required for the DE Autocross.
Parents are encouraged to take this program with their teen driver so they have the same experiences and language to use in later conversations. You may share one car, but parent and teen must register as separate participants. This will be an all day class and it will be the best focused time each of you have ever spent on driving skills. That's $100 total for teen and parent for the full day of instruction, practice, lunch together, and huge fun too.
For our more experienced drivers we will have a full very large autocross utilizing portions of the Monroe Speedway racetrack that will run from 8:45am until 3:00pm, with a lunch between 12:00 and 12:30pm. This will be a very unique autocross with the camber of the track being used for the additional challenge that creates. The huge figure 8 oval will be used for the majority of the course. We are limiting registrations to 30 cars so there will be plenty of runs. Bring plenty of gas. In the afternoon there will be at least four high end instructor sessions where lines at Pacific Raceways and Portland International raceway will be discussed as well as some technical sessions where car alignment, tire pressures, and other car related things will be discussed. All included in the basic entry fee. Helmets are required for the Full Autocross (see below).
For those who just want to partake in the technical sessions in the afternoon there is also an opportunity to just sign up for those. ACNA Membership is required for entry into these sessions and members get into these talks for FREE. You may purchase or renew membership as part of your registration on the next screens or go to the Audi Club North America website to join.
Consider joining us for this new University of Quattro!
We hope this new venue encourages teens and parents to participate because it is convenient and well suited for this experience. The program is focused on driver skill development and learning about how you and your car work together for a safer experience on the streets and freeways. A coach will be with you in the right seat of your car to personalize the whole event.
Adult drivers, teen drivers, and drivers with non-conforming convertibles or Roadsters may choose from the following event options:
• One-day Driver Education and DE Autocross with lunch (Saturday), $50.
• Full Autocross with lunch (Saturday until about 3:00pm, followed by Tech Sessions until 5:00pm), $60
Your registration includes lunch. Guest lunches are available for $15.
