About this event
Twilight Tour (a TSD Rally)
Chelsea Michigan
presented by Detroit Region, SCCA
Saturday, May 4, 2024
- Straightforward Time-Speed-Distance (TSD) Tour Rally – no traps
- ~180 miles of mostly unpaved roads in Washtenaw, Jackson, Lenawee, and Monroe counties
- All GPS passage controls using Richta app
- Novices (< 6 combined rallies between team members) welcome and encouraged
- Points toward Detroit Regional, Great Lakes Divisional, and National SCCA Road Rally Championships
- Look for "Competitor Richta GPS Checkpoints" app on Google Play Store or Apple App Store or click on the appropriate link:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.richta.cpa2&hl=en_US
https://apps.apple.com/us/app/competitor-richta-checkpoint/id1448298019
Prior to the rally, all the checkpoint information (locations by Latitude and Longitude and the correct arrival times) is loaded onto the internet by the rally master. People who register for the rally are given a car number and the password for the app. Each Rally Team then goes to the site and downloads the information for their car. The contestants will NOT be able to view Rally Master information. During the rally, when each car reaches a checkpoint, the contestant’s device will signal a checkpoint has been reached with a “bing-bong” sound. The device will then display your time entered and your score and say “early” or “late”. Your total score for the rally to that point will also be displayed.
Visit the Richta app information page at http://drscca.org/rally/using-the-richta-competitor-app/ to learn more about how the app works and how to use it.

Event requirements
ATTENTION! If you intend to use a GPS to measure mileage you must register to compete in the appropriate equipment class – either G or Limited.
Note that Novice class requirements are identical to Stock class. If you otherwise would qualify as a Novice class competitor (driver and navigator, combined, have competed in six or fewer rallies), but choose to use a GPS source you must compete in either G or Limited class (see class definitions below).
Please read carefully:
If you are registering yourself for the first time, and you will be paying for the event entry, please choose Option 1 on the order form and follow the prompts.
If you are registering as a co-entrant and your partner has already registered, please choose Option 2 on the order form.
If you do not already have a MotorsportReg.com account, click the 'Create New Account' button below. You will be asked to input your member number and Region of Record. This is your SCCA Membership number and home region. You must have this information in your user profile to avoid needing a weekend membership for this event. (Also, make sure your MotorsportReg.com user name matches exactly as it appears on your SCCA Membership card... otherwise, the member verification process will not validate your membership.)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Registration only on Motorsport Reg: http://msreg.com/TT-2024
Entry fees (per car): $55 for SCCA members
$20 per weekend membership (Addl. for all non-SCCA members)
All entries must be done online. There will be no in-person day of entries for this event.
Awards will be presented to the first and second place teams in each of the following classes:
E (Equipped) – unlimited equipment.
L (Limited) – may use any type of odometer, including GPS and wheel driven, but the odometer may not be integrated with the device (computer) readout showing perfect time. Instead, the mileage must be hand entered into the device used to calculate perfect time.
G - GPS-derived odometer integrated with any calculating device such as a rally “app” or rally computer.
S (Stock) – distance measurement limited to stock odometer, in stock location. GPS odometers may NOT be used in this Class for any timing calculations.
N (Novice) – any team where the total number of rallies entered by the two members of the team does not exceed six (6); and equipment is restricted to that of the Stock class.
