Tidewater Sports Car Club is hosting a Track Tech Inspection Day on Sunday May 3rd from 9am to 4pm to help YOU make sure your car is safe and ready for our VIR weekend being held May 22nd-24th!
We are returning to see our friend Rob in Smithfield by using his lift for the day to do some tech inspections for our HPDE attendees. The cost is $20 for annual members for one designated time slot, or $25 for non-annual members. Pre-registration is required.
We will have a lift and our tech inspectors on hand to look over your car and fill out the required Track Event Tech Inspection Form several weeks ahead of time so that *IF* anything is found that needs taken care of, and there are no surprises on the morning of the event.
Event requirements
We are conservatively estimating we will do approximately two inspections per hour. There are fourteen pre-designated time slots for people to pre-register for the inspection. This will be non-refundable to ensure attendance.
This is the in-depth pre-event tech inspection that TSCC requires for all HPDEs. The tech inspection form is required to be filled out by someone qualified/experienced enough to perform the inspection. We perform a more brief on-site tech inspection the day of our events, if your car does not pass you WILL NOT be permitted to run, filled out tech form or not. YOU are ultimately the one responsible for ensuring your vehicle is safe. For reference, the TSCC HPDE Supplemental Rules can be viewed/printed here.
