About this event
This is a new track that is about 1 hour north of Atlanta in the Georgia Hills by Dawsonville. Designed by the Tilke Engineering, this nearly 2-mile road course features extensive elevation changes, a highly technical course layout, high speed straights and two ‘signature’ corners designed to pay homage to famed European race courses; Belgium’s Spa-Francochamps "au rouge" and the iconic ‘Carousel’ from Germany’s Nürburgring. Incorporating these elements from two of the most famous and exciting of all of race circuits only hints at the lengths AMP has gone to in creating this world-class facility.
You're saying, 'I've never done this before.' Don't worry, we all had to start somewhere and what better opportunity is there than learning with a professional, friendly and enthusiastic in-car instructor sitting next to you and learning to drive this incredible facility. Best of all, you are completely free to learn at your own pace... with plenty of time on the track and in the classroom. The Track Guys program includes classroom time for Beginner and Novice drivers and plenty of time on the track for all run groups!
At Track Guys, we want to make sure everyone is in in a run group with drivers of similar skills and experience. This is why we run a four Run Group format. The four groups are defined as:
Group 1 - Beginner (first time ever on a road course or performance driving school - Instructors assigned)
Group 2 - Novice (some previous performance driving experience, 2 to 5 previous events or autocross experience - Instructors assigned)
Group 3 - Intermediate (6 or more previous driving schools - earned "solo" ranking - Instructors available if needed)
Group 4 - Advanced (10 or more events, multiple years and tracks, completely comfortable with high-performance vehicle dynamics and on-track situations)

Cost is $400.00 for two full days on track.

Event requirements
Here are some some very bacis requirments and rules for our Track Guys events:
- These are non-competitive, non-racing events. Anyone not driving within the "spirit of the event" will be asked to leave - NO REFUNDS.
- Atlanta Motorsports Park has a 98 dBA noise limit - no exceptions!
- Drivers must be 18 years old or older with a valid Drivers license.
- All participating vehicles must be properly insured and pass tech/safety inspection. Items to be checked will be included in the pre-event checklist. Tech Form Must Be filled out Prior to arriving at Tech Inspection.
- Helmets are required during any at-speed, on-track session.
- Helmets must be labeled SA00, SA05 or SA10. Absolutely NO "M-Rated" or motorcycle helmets will be allowed on track - PERIOD.
- Long sleeve shirt required (100% cotton fabric preferred)
- Long pants required
- Closed-toe shoes required
- Convertibles are required to have a ROLL BAR. Convertible tops must remain up while on track.
- The event is run rain or shine
