About this event
If you signed up or are planning to sign up for the Tick Tock Rally (August 12th; register at http://msreg.com/TTR23msr), or if you just want to learn about Time-Speed-Distance (TSD) rallies and the Richta smart phone app that we will be using for timing of the rally, then we invite you to a short Rally School. Liz Witt, Rallymaster for the Tick Tock Rally, will be your instructor. When you register, we will send information on how to download the app.
Rally School Day is Sunday, August 6th. The “classroom” instruction will be conducted via Zoom session. Class begins at 1:00 pm and should run for about an hour and a half, including time for Q&A. We will send out the Zoom session invite a day or two ahead of the Rally School.
Follow-up questions after the event should be directed to Liz Witt, who will compile them and post and/or distribute answers to all entrants. For those who can’t join the live session, we plan to record the Zoom session and post a YouTube video as well and will share information on how to access it after the Rally School.
Following the instruction session, you’re free to run the approximately 2-mile test course over paved roads in Plano, Texas; start and finish locations will be specified in the route instructions. You may complete this test run any day or time at your convenience, though we recommend doing so the same day of the School, after attending the Zoom orientation session, or at least several days in advance of the Rally.
There is no charge for this event. You must pre-register on MotorsportReg.com. Registration is per individual, not per team/car. To pre-register, follow this link to MotorsportReg.com: http://msreg.com/TTR23RSmsr. To keep track of who attended and any follow-ups, please register each individual attendee if possible.
Note: if you plan to register for the Tick Tock Rally, we strongly urge you to do so early and in time to also attend this Rally School and/or view the recorded session.
This is not an SCCA sanctioned and insured event.
