On Saturday, February 22, 2025, the Shenandoah Region has been invited to a tech session at the Madison Automotive Apprentice Program in Harrisonburg, VA. MAAP is affiliated with James Madison University as a non-profit entity. MAAP's focus is to mentor and educate students who have been selected into the intern program on the history and social values of the automobile. Students learn to develop a hands a on approach to automotive maintenance and restoration. Their focus has been Porsche 356's.
The program director, Cole Scrogham, is a four-time Manhattan Concours winner and eight-time national champion race team owner with the Porsche brand. He is also a noted author of “Porsche 356 Carrera: Four Cam Production Car” and “Porsche 911 Engine Assembly Guide". He further serves as an engineer on the JDC Miller Porsche GT4 Clubsport motorsports team.
The tech session will be an in depth explanation of Fuel and Vehicle Storage using the RPM Poster car, the 1965 Porsche 904, as the demonstration vehicle.
Schedule
Arrival time at MAAP shall be 11:15 AM. Lunch will be offered at 11:45 AM followed by the tech session led by Michael and Cole Scrogham.The cost for this event is $14 which will include lunch.
This event is only open to Shenandoah Region Members. Registration is limited to 20 participants.
