About this event
Tech Session on the process and requirements to register and qualify your Porsche to participate in
Autocross and Track events sponsored by the San Diego Region of the Porsche Club of America
Saturday morning meeting with Eric Marc-Aurele from the San Diego Region’s Autocross and Track event Pre registration committee to learn about the process of getting yourself and your car registered to participate in their events planned for 2022.
The process requires a number of forms that must be completed as well we “rating” your car based on model and modifications to obtain a unique number and to be assigned to the proper driving groups at their driving events. Also Eric will explain how these events are organized and how you can learn about how to drive your car for safety as well as for speed during these events using their mentor (trainee} program. Also you will learn about required safety equipment like which helmets are allowed if interested in buying your own gear as well we their rental gear program. He will also explain when and where these events are scheduled for 2022 and when you need to register to get a spot at their events.
The meeting will start at 10am on March 5, 2022 – at the residence of Jeffrey Kilpatrick (see information below).
A light continental breakfast and beverages will be available to participants.
Please drive the car you intend to use during these track events as Eric will help you fill out the “rating” form for your car during the meeting. Our goal is to get a contingent of drivers and their cars to represent our new Vineyard Region at these types of events and with enough participation eventually we could sponsor these types of serious driving events for the members of our own region. Eric has been gracious enough to drive North from San Diego to host this informational session for our members and we would like to show him that there are enthusiastic Porsche track and autocross drivers in our new region that made his time and effort to help us was truly appreciated. Space is limited to twenty attendees—please register as soon as possible. This is your chance to learn how to get your car and yourself out on a real racetrack where it was designed to live!
