A note from our Head Instructor, Alan McCrispin:

"The Twickenham Auto Club is a great bunch of people who really enjoy the automobile in all of its forms. The members volunteer their time to teach this school and promote better driving in our community. The depth of skill within the club is pretty amazing, with many National Championship level drivers.

The price of this school is ridiculously inexpensive compared to what you would have to pay at any of the National Performance schools to get the same information. For a full day of instruction at a big name school you could pay $500 to $2000.

This school is designed to teach better & safer driving. You will learn how to use your eyes, how to safely execute an emergency lane change, how to control a slide on wet pavement, how to steer your car with just the throttle and many other things.

We always try to have a group for newer drivers who may need additional coaching. Many times, past students have told me that something from the school saved them from an accident or worse.

Feel free to come to the Friday night classroom instruction even if you cannot make the class on Saturday. You'll get 2 hours of great information and driving tips as well as a few good laughs.

I've been the chief instructor for this school for years and have been teaching performance driving over 30 years for several different racing schools.

Hope to see you there."

Event requirements

Requirements

  1. All entrants must have a full and valid drivers license.
  2. Entrants under the age of 18 will be required to have a parent or legal guardian sign a minor's competition waiver.  Waivers are available at the trailer during registration.
  3. Helmets are required, but we have loaners available.
  4. All drivers must fulfill their work assignments. Work assignments will be given at the drivers meeting. We do not allow working only half of the day.

Sound Policy

TAC/TVR has a strict sound policy, due to our residential location and agreement with the Milton Frank Stadium owners. Your car must not be louder than 96 dB without exception. Sound will be monitored approximately 50 feet from the course. The type of exhaust (stock vs aftermarket) is not restricted, but it must not exceed 96 dB. If your car exceeds 96 dB on a run, you will be notified, the run will be scored as a DNF, and not allowed to run again. If you show that a modification has been made to reduce noise (driving at half throttle does not count), then you will be allowed to run again. If your car exceeds the limit a second time, you will not be allowed to run for the rest of the day. We want EVERYONE to have a great day autocrossing, please make this easy by fixing your car before the event!

Payment

Cash and check will be accepted for payment. Season passes are not accepted for this event.
