Driver Cap

This event will be capped at 80 drivers - 20 drivers in each skill level.

Driver Groups: HPDE will be split into four groups.

Intro:

This group is for all persons who are new to HPDE. There will be highly experienced lead instructors on-site that will work with drivers to teach the in's and out's of HPDE including line, speed, how to approach a turn, what gear you should be in, proper way to brake, etc. Passing is very limited in the intro sessions. There are mandatory classroom and after session debriefs for this group.

Novice:

This group is for all persons who are newer to HPDE (2 or more track events) and have driven the track that we are attending before. There will be highly experienced lead instructors on-site that will work with drivers to teach the in's and out's of HPDE including line, speed, how to approach a turn, what gear you should be in, proper way to brake, etc. Passing is very limited in the novice sessions. There are mandatory classroom and after session debriefs for this group.

Intermediate:

Drivers in this group must be able to demonstrate that they can keep pace, stay on line, be consistent, and have good situational awareness for their situation (i.e. proactive point-by's). Passing is limited and should be done in the specified zones and "point by's" in this group are required. It is the passing driver's responsibility to make sure all passes are executed in a safe and controlled manner. Coaching is available on a request basis and will be completed in a lead follow format with a follow up debrief session.

Advanced:

This class is for drivers who are experienced HPDE attendees, race-car participants (current and former), and instructors. Drivers in this group must be able to demonstrate that they can keep pace, stay on line, be consistent, and have good situational awareness for their situation (i.e. proactive point-by's). There are no passing restrictions, however, passing still needs to be approached with extreme caution and proper track etiquette - "point by's" are required. It is the passing driver's responsibility to make sure all passes are executed in a safe and controlled manner. This event is not a race - leave a clear passing lane and do not force a pass to be made late. This is the highest level of driving in HPDE offered by Stacked On Track and all drivers should be highly experienced and have a great knowledge of high performance driving.
