Show Me a Sign

Sunday, Nov. 12

A St. Louis Region, SCCA, Gimmick (GTA) Road Rally

Description: Show Me a Sign is a simple course-following sign hunt. Join us and enjoy a Sunday afternoon tour of St. Charles County's rural roads while seeking to answer questions along the route based on the signs you see.

Finish: Rookies Bar and Grill, 3721 New Town Blvd., St. Charles, MO 63301.

What you need: a car, a driver and navigator, a clipboard, pencils and paper.

Entry fee: $20.00 per team for SCCA teams, $40.00 per team for non-member teams. An SCCA team is defined as a team in which at least one participant is an SCCA member. The $40.00 entry fee for a nonmember team includes a $20.00 SCCA Weekend Membership for the team’s “primary entrant,” i.e., the member who will pay the entry fee. The other member(s) of a non-SCCA team will receive a free SCCA Trial Membership, as will non-member participant(s) of an SCCA team.

Event requirements

Rules and Waivers:

The standard SCCA rules regarding road-rallies will be observed: Proof of valid driver’s license and current auto insurance, vehicle inspection (self-inspection by the rally team), and signing of applicable SCCA forms.

Teams must include a driver and navigator, but are also welcome to include as many additional participants as can safely be carried in the car (which is determined by the number of seatbelts).

All participants will be required to read and sign the standard SCCA waiver before being allowed to participate in this event. The signing of the SCCA’s “Release and Waiver of Liability, Assumption of Risk and Indemnity Agreement” is a pre-condition to participating in any SCCA event. Any adult (age 18 or older) must sign the waiver.

Minor Participants: A Minor taking part in this event must have an Annual Minor Waiver on file with the SCCA for the current calendar year.

The Age of Majority is 18 years except in Alabama and Nebraska, where it is 19, and Mississippi, where it is 21.

The Annual Minor Waiver will be issued to the Minor by the SCCA National Office. For more information about this process, click on the following document and see the section “Minor Annual Waivers”: Digital Annual Waiver 12-01-2021.pdf.

Before obtaining an “Annual Waiver Minor” for a child, nonmember parents/guardians, as well as the minor in question, must obtain an SCCA Guest Account.

1. Log onto scca.com.
2. Click on “Join/Renew” in the information bar at the top of the page.
3. Click on “Create a Guest Account.”
4. Click on “I don’t have a Member ID.”
5. Complete the required information.

Once you, as parents or guardians, have received your Guest Accounts, you can begin the process of acquiring an Annual Minor Waiver for your child. See again the document noted above: Digital Annual Waiver 12-01-2021.pdf.

Do not wait until the last moment to obtain an Annual Minor Waiver for your Minor child/participant. SCCA staff normally are not available after normal business hours or during weekends; so a last-minute Annual Minor Waiver request cannot be processed before the start of this road rally. Without a valid waiver, your Minor will not be allowed to participate.

Finally, please read carefully:
If you are registering yourself for the first time, and you will be paying for the event entry, choose Option 1 on the order form and follow the prompts.
If you are registering as a co-entrant and your partner has already registered, choose Option 2 on the order form.
