Rochester Car Club at Watkins Glen

Watkins Glen International

About this event

Welcome to the Rochester Car Club's Members-Only Hot Track Experience at Watkins Glen Event, July 20 and 21, 2026.   This event is being brought to you in partnership with Trackmasters, Inc.

This invitation-only event will be limited to a maximum of 20 people.   Guests will take their personal car out on a world-class racetrack to test and explore the limits of their cars and their driving skill.  Each guest will have a dedicated, high-performance driving coach assigned to them for the two days and your coach will ride in the passenger seat of your car while on track - keeping you safe while you push through to new levels of performance with each session. The driving coaches brought in for this event are not only certified track instructors from Porsche and/or BMW, but they also call Watkins Glen their home track - with literally tens of thousands of laps.   Amongst them are former racers, chief instructors, and mentors for other instructors.  Many of them can acheive top 1% lap times at the Glen in their own race cars.  Simply put, we will have the best-of-the-best in driving coaches, and they know the Watkins Glen lap better than anyone.

This is a VIP event.  You will have eight sessions on the full-course track over the two days.  Each session is 25 minutes - enough time to wear you out as you lay down 10-12 laps at speed.   When on track in our hot sessions, we will have the track to ourselves.  We will also get a series of classroom sessions, beginning with safety and track protocols, moving on to the physics of high speed turns and braking, and finally the tips and tricks for navigating the turns at high speed around the Watkins Glen Track.

In between sessions, we will have use of the Glen Club, which is Watkin Glen's VIP club house.  This is essentially Watkins Glen's Luxury Box Seats, with glass-walled indoor space and covered-deck outdoor space where relax in the A/C or sit out with a cigar and watch the other racing action on track.   Lunch will be catered for us at the Club, and beverages and snacks will be available throughout the day.

And, for an added bonus, you will have the option of an additional hot session riding right-seat in your instructor's race car.   Besides just being a thrill in itself, you'll find it a great compliment to your on-track learning.   You'll get new insight into how to drive the lap your next session out.

This event is being brought to us in partnership with Trackmasters, Inc.   Trackmasters has been doing track events for 35 years, and has built a deep and loyal following of professional racers, club racers, and other high-performance track veterans.    They have a long-standing driver development program to progress drivers from beginners to top of their class.

While it is possible to drive up and back each day, most attendees will likely opt for lodging close to the track on Monday night.   We will get a block of rooms reserved and make dinner arrangements for Monday night for those interested in participating.

The price for this event is $2000 per person, and covers the track event and on-track catering for both days.   Lodging and dinner Monday night will be additional.   However, if we get a good turnout (i.e., close to the maximum number of registrants), we'll have some extra monies to apply toward dinner Monday night.

This is going to be a memorable experience that we'll be talking about for years and years.   Don't miss out!
