About this event
"RESCUE rides with JOE" is being run in conjunction with the German Dogs and German Cars DE. This is an opportunity for those not participating in the DE to donate $ 100 to the charity and get a track ride with Joe Bank, two time National Porsche Club Champion. All participants in RESCUE rides with JOE must be at least 18 years old...
RESCUE rides with JOE will take place at High Plains Raceway on the morning and afternoon of Friday, September 8th. Participants will be asked to sign a waiver to enter the track and a waiver for the RESCUE rides with JOE. Participants should wear cotton clothing, outer and inner, ideally long pants and sleeves and sturdy lace up shoes, sneakers are great. Please bring a photo id with proof of age. ALSO, bring along some extra cash as we will have T-Shirts featuring the event photo for sale. (see photo on site page).
Our charity for RESCUE rides with JOE and the German Dogs and German Cars DE is the Front Range German Shepherd Rescue, www.frgsr.org . You may donate at the track or by continuing with your registration for RESCUE rides with JOE. Those who preregister will be given preference over walk-ups at the track.
In an effort to raise as much support as possible for the Front Range German Shepherd Rescue, Joe Bank will be giving instructional rides in his Factory 2011 GT3 Cup Car in exchange for a $ 100 donation to the Rescue. His Cup Car has 500 hp and weights 2600 lbs and Joe has driven it to the Porsche Club National Championship in 2014 and 2015 and to 3rd in 2016. This is a rare opportunity to experience the sounds and sensations of a genuine professional level Porsche race car. Rides will be given in the morning 8am to noon and the afternoon 1pm to 5 pm on Friday September 8th. Here's a video of a lap at Sebring in Joe's Cup Car, https://vimeo.com/154855765 . You may sign up for these instructional rides by continuing with your registration.
All donations will go to the Rescue!!!
