About this event

REGIONAL TRIPLE RALLY WEEKEND, MEMORIAL DAY 2026

ONE WEEKEND - THREE RALLIES!

THUNDER ROAD, Old U.S. Route 66 Edition, Saturday, May 23, 2026, 7 hour SCCA Regional Tour Rally (Monte Carlo format)

STAGECOACH, Sunday, May 24, 2026, 6 hour SCCA Regional Tour Rally

HIGHWAY ROBBERY, Monday, May 25, 2026, SCCA Regional Course Rally

Each of these rallies will use the same course as their corresponding National or Divisional rallies on the same dates.  If you want to get SCCA National Series points, you'll need to run the National or Divisional versions (on the same days as the Regionals).  Go to msreg.com/2026tripleweekend for more information and to register for the Nationals/Divisional.

Weekend rally headquarters is the Best Western Plus Ontario Airport and Convention Center, 209 N Vineyard Avenue, Ontario, California 91764. (909) 937-6800 hotel direct.  You can use this link for the rally group rate.  As an alternate way to access the group rate, just cut and paste the following in your browser: www.bestwestern.com/en_US/book/hotel-rooms.05343.html?groupId=P41JA1D4.

Although we are not sanctioning these events as charity rallies with SCCA, in honor of our veterans on this Memorial Day, we are donating a portion of each entry fee to New Directions for Veterans, a highly rated charity that provides transisitional housing, mental health and substance abuse treatment, plus job counseling and placement to thousands of homeless veterans here in Southern California.  Check them out at https://ndvets.org/about-us/.

THUNDER ROAD, Old Route 66 Edition, is an 7 hour SCCA Regional Tour Rally on Saturday, May 23, 2026.  Rallymaster Joe Akerman has written a very scenic course using most of the best non-urban portions of Old US 66 still remaining in California.  There will be lots of things to keep folks on both sides of the car busy.  The Monte Carlo format will include your target time (CZT) at all restarts and checkpoints, and creeping/stopping will be allowed.  Thunder Road will finish about 20 minutes the Start.

STAGECOACH is a 6 hour SCCA Regional Tour Rally on Sunday, May 24, 2026. Stagecoach Rallymaster Larry Scholnick has written a simple straightforward course through some of the local open country, canyons and backroads.  All checkpoints will be identified in the Route Instructions.  Stagecoach will finish with about 25 minutes of the Start.

HIGHWAY ROBBERY is an SCCA Regional Course Rally on Monday, May 25, 2026. Highway Robbery Rallymaster Jeanne English has written a moderately challenging course utilizing variable Main Road Rules and covering some very exciting and picturesque driving roads.  There will be variable main road determinants, but no more than four at any time (often only two). The Rallymaster expects most teams to do most legs correctly.

All three of these rallies will use the Richta GPS Competitor app for timing and scoring.  The maximum penalty on all three rallies is 30 seconds (1/2 minute) per checkpoint.  The app is FREE and easy to use on any GPS-enabled smartphone.  Go to the App Store or Google Play Store, or https://richtarally.com/.  There is no need for additional timing equipment or clocks -- your Official Time shows in the app!   Also, if you want to see all the scores at the Finish, download the FREE Richta Scoreboard app also.

To register for any or all of these 3 rallies, please click on the "register now" button below.  Entry fee for pre-entry is $60 per car per rally.  There is a $15/car/rally discount if you enter all three rallies.  Use discount code RUNALL3REGIONALS at checkout for Highway Robbery.

Each Entrant must register individually and each will select their correct "group" (driver or navigator).

The first person registering should be the entrant registering the vehicle, choosing the class, and paying for the entry, and they should register as 1st Registrant.

The other person on the team should then log in separately and should register as 2nd Registrant.  You'll use the pull-down 'co-driver picker' menu to find and select your team partner (who will need to have already registered).

To facilitate scoring of the Regionals and Nationals simultaneously, the Regional version of each of the 3 rallies will use the following classes:

CLASS R1 (E/G) - Class R1 will combine Class E (Equipped) and Class G (GPS).  Normal rules for those classes will apply, as follows:

Class E (Equipped) - There are no restrictions on calculating equipment in this Class.  Typical calculating devices in this Class include:  Alfa, Chronar, Timewise, and Zeron rally computers.

Class G (GPS) - All distance information must be derived from a GPS source.  Calculating devices may be any electronic device (e.g., Simple Rally Computer type APPs and a GPS-Pulser providing distance input to a Rally computer.)

CLASS R2 (Limited) - Class R2 will be the same as the normal Class L (Limited) -  All distance information is derived from any of the following:  the vehicle’s electronic system, the vehicle’s speedometer cable, or pulses generated by the movement of the vehicle (e.g., magnets mounted to the drivetrain, of GPS devices).  Calculating devices are limited to those that require manual entry of the distance information (e.g., Curta calculators, tables, laptop computers, electronic APPs, programmable and non-programmable electronic calculators).  Readouts that continuously show the difference from either the perfect time or the perfect distance are prohibited.

CLASS R3 (Stock) - Class R3 will be the same as the normal Class S (Stock) - Any distance information used for timing calculations must be visually acquired from the vehicle’s stock, non-adjustable odometer in the stock location.  Any calculating device may be used as long as the distance information from the vehicle’s stock odometer is manually entered into the device.  GPS odometers may be used in this Class only if their information is NOT used for any timing calculations or for any determination of earliness or lateness.

CLASS R4 (Novice) - Class R4 will be limited to those who have run 10 or fewer Road Rallies of any type, and it will have the same restrictions as Class R3 (stock)
