About this event
Join us for a great Tech Talk video-teleconference (VTC) on Saturday, August 22nd, 11 am (Eastern Daylight Time) when MBCA National Technical Advisor George Murphy will present “Recovering a Long-stored “Barn Find” Mercedes-Benz.” George will tell the story of an early R129 500SL with very low mileage that sat unused for over 25 years. He returned it to operation in a lengthy and arduous process. The lessons learned are generally applicable to all cars that have been sitting for a long time – with the current craze for barn finds, it’s an especially timely topic!
Following his presentation, we have plenty of time for questions and answers on this, or any other Mercedes topic. We will be limiting registrations to only 250, so register now! The cost will $10 per registration.
After you register, you will get a confirmation email with the link to the ZOOM meeting and instructions on how to setup the ZOOM application beforehand to simplify connection. We will plan to have the ZOOM meeting up by 10:40 a.m. so we can hopefully get technical issues out of the way. Don’t wait to register, as we are limited to only 250 attendees. For questions, contact Gary Edwards by e-mail at edwardsgw@nu-z.net or by phone at (757) 831-9556.
If you don't get the confirmation email, then either you aren't registered or your email address is incorrect in motorsportreg - and you won't have the information you need to get in to the meeting. Contact Gary if you have problems with this.
