Join us for quattroberfest 2022 our premier High Performance Driver Education (HPDE) event October 7 -9, 2022 at Brainerd International Raceway (BIR) on the Donnybrook Course.

quattroberfest, sponsored by Toyo Tires, offers HPDE instruction for novice, intermediate and advanced driver classes on Saturday and Sunday. Our advanced drivers also have the option of participating in a Lapping Day on Friday.

By popular demand, we are returning to the popular Donnybrook course (long course) [Click here for Road Course Map]. Saturday morning in-car exercises will be hosted in the historical locations which allow participants more repetition and less down time during those segments. We’ve kept the popular lapping day, and will once again have access to garage stalls for those who like that rental option.

UPDATE: We are pleased to announce that Michael Galati will be our guest instructor and speaker at this year's event!  Michael is a former Audi Team racer, has set over 50 track records, and is an SCCA Neohio Hall of Fame inductee. Michael will be sharing his knowledge and experience with all our attendees, and we are happy to welcome him to BIR!

Nurtechnik will once again be providing track-side support for participants at quattroberfest! In addition, Nurtechnik is offering ACGL members complimentary track inspections ("tech checks") for quattroberfest 2022. Tech Checks must be completed within 30 days of the start of the event. Schedule an appointment at their 7000 square foot facility located in Burnsville to have them complete your required pre-track Safety Inspection ("Tech Check"). Tech Check Form.

We love getting shots of our cars in action on the track! NVUS Images will be on site capturing the action. Put your quattroberfest experience on display by purchasing porfessional photos of your care on the track. We'll introduce photographer Nate at the Driver's Meetings and you'll have the opportunity to purchase photos from the weekend.

Important Notes: ACGL will comply with all ACNA, local, state, and federal requirements for COVID-19 that are in effect at the time the event takes place. Every attendee must pre-register and must sign the electronic event waivers which include ACNA's Communicable Disease/COVID-19 waiver and general release and liability waiver. We will provide additional information about requirements as the event date draws close. Thank you!

Event requirements

Participant Requirements

No experience is necessary!  All drivers are welcome under the following conditions:

  • Must be a minimum of 18 years of age
  • Must be a member of ACNA
  • Must follow the rules established by ACNA, ACGL, BIR and Track Safety Team at all times
  • Must wear long pants and long-sleeve shirts of 100% cotton – no poly blends – and closed toed shoes suitable for driving. No cleated shoes, heavy boots, mules or sandals are allowed.

Helmet Requirements

  • Helmets must be worn by all participants during all in-car sessions
  • All helmets used are required to have the current Snell Memorial Foundation certification sticker
  • Use of Snell Special Application (SA) rated helmets is required in all vehicles, regardless of supplemental rollover or impact protections installed, including OEM and aftermarket roll bars or roll cages.  The following SA rated helmets are acceptable through the dates listed:
SA 2015 Dec. 31, 2026
SA 2020 Dec. 31, 2031
EA 2016 Dec. 31, 2027
  • If you do not own one of the permitted helmets listed above, you can request helmet rental during registration

Vehicle Requirements

  • You must bring your own vehicle to the event - we do not supply vehicles for use at the event.
  • Vehicle must provide complete rollover protection for the body, head, and limbs.
  • While we are obviously huge Audi fans, you do not need to bring an Audi to the event. All makes are welcome.
  • Your vehicle must receive a Safety Inspection, commonly referred to as a “Tech Check,” from a competent entity or individual (dealer, authorized
service center, mechanic or other competent individual) within 30 days prior to the start of the event. You must bring a completed Tech Check form with you to the event!
    • Click here to download a copy of the form: Tech Check Form.
    • For those unfamiliar with this process, a qualified technician performs a technical evaluation of your vehicle to confirm it appears adequately prepared to run at high speeds.  Many shops are familiar with this process and can provide assistance. Consider contacting one of our sponsors for your tech check:
      • Anderson Motorsport
      • Audi Minneapolis and St. Paul
      • Audi Richfield
      • Auto Edge
      • Further Performance
      • Nur Technik
      • Ratified Motorsport
  • Electric Vehicles (EV) and Hybrids present unique challenges in the event of an on-track accident.  All EV/Hybrid vehicles will be provided with a sticker to alert rescue crews of potential danger.  At the time of this writing, no additional restrictions are in place, but be aware that EV technology is evolving, and tracks may need to put controls in place to adapt.
  • High-center-of-gravity vehicles (Truck, Van, SUV-Sport Utility Vehicle, CUV-Crossover Utility Vehicle, SAV-Sport Activity Vehicle) and convertibles generally are not permitted in ACNA high-speed driving events.  There are some exceptions, so please contact us prior to registering to inquire about your specific vehicle.
  • If you have a question about the eligibility of your vehicle, please contact us prior to registering at events@audiclubglacierlakes.org
