The Podium Club’s premier members-only race series
The Cactus Cup is a Podium Club members race series built on the traditions of gentlemen’s racing — respectful, competitive, and community-driven. It offers Podium Club members the opportunity to enjoy multi-round competition in a safe and well-organized environment, where the focus is as much on sportsmanship and camaraderie as it is on results.
Race Format

Multi-Round Series – Earn points each round toward season championships.

Class-Based Competition – Cars and motorcycles are grouped by performance for fair racing.

The race series is an invitational for nonmembers – Members can invite nonmembers to a maximum of (1) to participate in the season.
Steps to Secure a License & Enter a Race
Step 1: Apply for Your Cactus Cup License

Reciprocity with SCCA, NASA, PASA, VARA, IMSA, CRA, ASMA, AMA and other national organizations
Step 2: Determine Your Class

The season classing is different than prior years. WHen racing with NASA, Pro Auto or Southwest Speedfest - our racers will enter thier race groups as they define them, however the Cactus Cup points will be caluculated based on your vehicle classing according to Cactus Cup rules and regulations.

Before registering, review the Classes section of the Rules and Regulations to confirm where your car or motorcycle fits within the Cactus Cup Rules.

Cars are classed by power-to-weight ratio (PWR) OR type: GR86, RUSH, or open-wheel.

Example: Porsche GT3 = 3,278 lbs ÷ 502 hp = 6.53 PWR → GT3 Race Group
If your car doesn’t have a roll cage or fire suppression system (both required for wheel-to-wheel racing), you can still participate in the Time Trial
- Motorcycles are classed by engine displacement only.
Step 3: Register for an Event

Once your license has been approved, you may register for upcoming races by visiting the corresponding organization's registration page.
Eligibility Notes:

GR86s, and Sedans can technically compete in all three race groups (TT, and W2W) with the same vehicle as long as it meets the tech requirements.

Motos, RUSH and Open-Wheel cars cannot run in TT, but can race in W2W.

Members with more than one vehicle can enter multiple classes — for example, someone running a Motorcycle and a GR car could race up to six times during the day.
Step 4: Checkout & Fees

At checkout, simply select the number of total races for this single day event. 1 or 2+ races. Pay accordingly.
Meals & Guest Participation

Lunch and dinner are included for all members at no additional charge.

For non-members, the process is the same; however, race fees are higher, and meals are not included.
Race Entry & Pricing
Race Option 1 – Time Trial (TT)
Entry Fee: $150 members / $300 non-members and includes a day or practice and qualifying, and a full day of racing.
Race Option 2 – Wheel-to-Wheel (W2W)
Sunday - 4 sessions per day for cars and Motorcycles:

1 Qualifying Race

1 Race - this will determine the grids for the 2nd race of the day

1 Final Race of the day will be for trophies and points
Race Option 3 – TT, & W2W COMBO
Event requirements
Participants must request a license prior to registering for an event. Licenses are issues upon request and are renewable.
