This is an Advanced / Intermediate Driver - Open Track Event. Advanced and Intermediate Drivers ONLY with prior track experience. We are limiting the available spots to 50 drivers !
Car: No open-wheel cars. Closed wheel only !!
Driver’s License: All Drivers must have a valid Driver’s License and be at least 18 years of age to participate. You will be asked to present your Driver’s License at the track. Please be sure to bring documentation regarding track experience or any race license you have obtained in order to verify your experience.
Helmet Requirement: A Snell SA 2015 or newer helmet is required for all drivers on the track.
Attire: Helmet, long pants, long sleeve shirt required. If purpose built race car, full safety gear required !
Tech: A tech inspection is required for each car prior to accessing the race course. A NETC official will tech your car prior to the event. Check the event schedule for tech hours of operation. Speed Limits: Speed limit in the paddock is 5 mph. Speed limit on access roads is 25 mph. Do not test vehicles or bed brakes on infield roads. For non-racing events, the pit lane speed limit is 20 mph.
Fuel: For the convenience of customers, New Jersey Motorsports Park houses fuel stations at both the Thunderbolt and Lightning Raceways. On track days the fuel stations are open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The fuel station at Thunderbolt Raceway offers octanes of 93,95 & 100 (unleaded) and 110 & 112 (leaded), while the station at Lightning Raceway offers 93 & 100 (unleaded) and 110 (leaded). The fuel stations are permitted to fill containers in proper five gallon red fuel cans only, per New Jersey state law. Larger fuel containers of 10 gallons or more (any color) are permitted to be used as long as they are marked appropriately (stickers or writing on container that reads “FUEL”).
Property Damage: Participant is responsible for any damage to NJMP property, on or off track, including but not limited to Armco damage, Tire Wall damage, Brake Marker damage, Oil Spill clean-up, Paddock damage, and Garage damage.
Noise: Un-muffled engines must not be run before 8:30 a.m. or after 8:00 p.m.
