If you are interested in learning the basics of High Performance Driving, or simply want to drive your car on a racetrack in a controlled and professionally staffed environment, then NASA’s High Performance Driving Event is for you. NASA HPDE gives you a chance to test your skills and learn from NASA's pool of experienced instructors at a venue designed for safe, spirited driving far away from the risks present on the street. Our HPDE program has become the standard for the 'open track' industry and features multiple skill levels to ensure that you are able to enjoy a safe and fun day at the track.
HPDE 1: If you've never been on track before or would like to be guaranteed an instructor, sign up for HPDE 1. We do not rent transponders for HPDE 1. Selecting the HPDE 1 option automatically assigns you an instructor. Please do not select the Instructor option.
HPDE 2: Drivers that have been signed off to drive on their own, but want more time at HPDE 1 speeds and skill level. So Group 2 is Group 1, but with no instructor assignment. We do not rent transponders for HPDE 2.
HPDE 3: Saturday will work up to additional passing by the end of the day. Sunday will be a continuation, starting with limited passing and then picking up pace and passing areas in subsequent sessions. This should better prepare drivers for Group 4. Sunday only entrants should be aware of this.
HPDE 4: Advanced drivers with open passing skills. All HPDE 4 drivers who are new to NASA must be pre-approved by the Chief Instructor before being allowed to drive in HPDE 4.

Time Trial (TT)
In NASA Time Trial competition, anything goes, from prototype racecars and converted production cars to the current crop of electric cars. Weight-to-horsepower ratios make for fair classes and lots of creative freedom to build the car you want. NASA Time Trial provides a venue for spirited on-track competition with a high degree of safety and convenience.

Comp School is for drivers in HPDE4 or TT to get their NASA Provisional Racing License.
Comp school begins on Friday morning.
Friday will include classroom, on-track drills, and practice starts. Upon "passing" all of these items on Friday you will receive your Provisional License and begin racing THAT WEEKEND.
Drivers who wish to participate in comp school for the weekend must register for their Racing Class AND Comp License Eval.
Drivers MUST have the following prior to the weekend in order to participate:

If you want even more track time, you can choose to "super size" into another group. Super Size entries must be in addition to a normal entry. This is simply additional track time at a discounted rate.

Transponders can be rented for $100/day on a first come first serve basis. Available on the registration page below.
