NASA SoCal extends our deepest respects to fallen Firefighter Carlos Ramirez Jr. and the entire Advanced Fire and Rescue family.
Carlos was a dedicated safety professional with Advanced Fire and supported numerous events to ensure track safety. His commitment to protecting others and his willingness to serve will not be forgotten. Dedication to his profession and genuine compassion defined both his work and his character.
Our heartfelt condolences go to the Ramirez family, his friends, and everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. This loss is profound, and Carlos will always remain part of the NASA SoCal racing community.

Online Registration is discounted up to 10 days prior to the event. Prices for the Race and TT groups will increase by $75 ten days prior to the event. Fees are $100 higher than online price when registering at the track!
Note- The schedule won't be released until adequate entries can determine run groups. An event confirmation email will be sent 2 days prior to the event.

We'll be holding our 2025 Season Championship banquet on Saturday night. Banquet dinner tickets are $25 per person, available for purchase with your registration Please purchase tickets in advance so we can insure proper headcount.
Track-side ticket sales are limited, but can be accommodated (cash only). We want to make certain advance paid ticketholders are able to enjoy their dinner - please buy tickets via this event page prior to coming to CVR!

HPDE / TT INFORMATION:
All HPDE classes (1-4) on Saturday and Sunday.
ALL participants in the TT run group are REQUIRED to have a transponder.
Additionally, all drivers registering for HPDE4/TT must be pre-approved by the group leader prior to the event. If you have not participated in NASA SoCal HPDE4/TT within the last two years and do not have a valid NASA Competition racing or TT license, you MUST e-mail socal@drivenasa.com for screening and approval.
DIGITAL WAIVER:
NASA has moved to a digital waiver system that is required for ALL participants. Upon registering for an event, a text message will be sent to the mobile number configured in your account. Please follow the instructions and sign the digital waiver as soon as you get the text message. There is no need to wait until the day of the event - it can be done immediately. Failure to complete the digital waiver will delay your ability to get on track with your run group. Please make certain the number (1-707-210-0445) is not blocked on your device. We also use this number for keeping drivers updated during the event.
PLEASE NOTE TRANSPONDER RENTAL POLICY: Unfortunately, due to 25% of rented transponders not being returned, we have been forced to implement a $50 penalty on transponders that are not returned to Registration on Sunday, 30 minutes after the last session. On Monday morning, anyone who has a missing transponder will be charged $100 to their credit card on file. If the transponder is not returned to NASA SoCal (see Contacts page for address) by the Wednesday after the event, a replacement fee of $500 will be charged.
Also please note that transponders are not rented to HPDE1 and 2 groups as they are not timed but are REQUIRED in TT and the race groups. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
INFORMATION FOR MINORS:
All minors are required to have parent or guardian present at the track to sign and submit the minor waiver. Each waiver is only good for THAT specific event. A new waiver is required for each event. Additionally, a parent or guardian MUST be in attendance for the entirety of the minors participation. Minors are not permitted to drive without a parent or guardian present. NASA CCR's section 3.5.
INFORMATION FOR CONVERTIBLE VEHICLES:
NASA has a list of approved convertibles located here. No passengers are permitted in any convertible, in any run group, except instructors or if the vehicle has a rollbar that provides passenger protection, as per NASA CCR section 4.5, subsection 11, as well as the NASA SOCAL Event Information Document, HPDE section, item E, located here. Vehicles must be run with the top down when on track.

Helmet rentals are first come, first served. We do not accept helmet reservations.
Eligibility and Licensing Requirements:
All registered drivers must have a current NASA membership (available for purchase through your NASA profile - $79 for the year).
License: Your NASA Competition License is good for ONE season and must be renewed annually prior to the first race you wish to attend. Purchase your season license online in your member account. Apply for a new NASA license here: https://form.jotform.com/drivenasa/license-application.
Medicals (REQUIRED if you are racing, not required for TT or HPDE): If your medical is expired, you are NOT eligible to race! Medical renewals take 10-14 BUSINESS DAYS from date of submittal. Medicals CANNOT be processed at the track! Please use this link to renew your medical info: https://form.jotform.com/drivenasa/nasa-medical-application.
HPDE Intro, HPDE 1: Valid state-issued drivers' license and over 18 years of age. If no valid DL and/or under 18, must obtain pre-approval by NASA SoCal. Email socal@drivenasa.com.
HPDE 2-4: HPDE passport check or instructor approval.
Time Trial (TT): Valid NASA TT license, valid NASA Competition License, or approval from series leader. Please contact Stu Clott (stuartclott@gmail.com).
Racing (sprint and endurance): Valid NASA Competition License
Supersize ST / TT: You must be registered to race in order to supersize your entry.
Supersize HPDE: You must be registered in a race class or TT to supersize your entry.
Transponders
Required: Racing, Time Trial
Optional: HPDE 3-4
None: HPDE INTRO, 1-2 **NOTE** These sessions are not timed, please do not rent a transponder.
NASA SoCal Cancellation Policy:
OUR EVENTS OPERATE RAIN OR SHINE.
All cancellations and refund requests must be submitted via email to socal@drivenasa.com.
HPDE/Time Trial/Competition Drivers’ School/Open Track:
- Full refund less $40.00 processing fee or full credit towards a future NASA SoCal event, valid for that calendar year with at least 7 days notice prior to the event, as long as there is space available.
- No refunds or credits if you cancel less than 7 days prior to the event. No exceptions.
- No refunds or credits if you have mechanical problems or your car does not pass tech inspection. No exceptions.
- Once the car hits the track all fees are non-refundable. No exceptions.
Race Groups:
- If you notify us within 14 days of the event, you may choose to receive a refund less a $40 processing fee, or full credit towards a future NASA SoCal event, valid for that calendar year.
- If you notify us less than 14 days prior to the event, or within 48 hours of the missed event, you will receive an event credit, less a $40 processing fee, towards a future NASA SoCal event, valid for that calendar year.
- No partial refunds.
- This policy does not apply to special events.
- No refunds or credits if you have mechanical problems or your car does not pass tech inspection. No exceptions.
- Once the car hits the track all fees are non-refundable. No exceptions.
You will receive event credits via a one-time use promotional code. You will enter the code during the normal, online registration process. Credits are valid only for one event. You will not be able to receive a refund, transfer, or additional credit if you are unable to attend the new event.
The Toyota HPDE cancellation policy requires a minimum of 14-days notice before your scheduled event. If for any reason you are unable to attend, please submit your request via the contact form or call us at 844-477-8772. You will forfeit your complimentary track day if we do not hear from you 14-days prior to your event. Regretfully, we cannot make any exceptions to this policy. Please know that NASA events do not cancel due to rain.
