About this event
The MSR Houston Competition License School is designed for aspiring racing drivers. Drivers will receive a SCCA Full Competition License upon successful completion of the course and will be immediately eligible to go racing with the SCCA anywhere across the country.
What can you expect?
Day 1 - Basic and advanced car-control skills, track orientation, open lapping sessions.
Day 2 - Learning the nuances of MSR Houston's challenging circuit, passing/rules of engagement, grid procedures, flag drills, open lapping sessions.
Day 3 - Putting it all together - Race & Start procedures, practice starts, mock races.

We'll meet in the MSR Lounge at 8:30am on the first day to complete all the necessary paperwork. If you're bringing your own racecar, feel free to unload it and paddock under the awnings. Please don't park trailers under the awnings. Garages will be available to store your racecar and equipment overnight.

Event requirements
Participants do not need to be SCCA members or apply for a novice license before this school.
A minimum of 4 students is required for a school. Should a school have less than 4, we will contact the registered drivers regarding rescheduling.
