MOTORCAR STUDIO EVENT

Motorcar Studio

About this event

On Saturday, April 7th, Motorcar Studio will host a very interesting event that deals with the eventual sale or transfer of your Mercedes-Benz. As mentioned in the October article regarding this event, you are not only the present owner of your prized M-B, but also a steward for a future owner. As such, it is in the best interest of both parties that you properly care for it until ownership transfers at some point.

Chris Baucom and Nick Huston, co-owners of Motorcar Studio, will address two topics dealing with the eventual transfer of ownership: Prepping Your Car for sale, and Understanding Car Brokerage. Their presentation and your questions are intended to include such subjects as what constitutes “normal wear and tear”, realistic assessment of your car’s market value, presale preparation, overview of the sale process, due diligence by the seller and the buyer, and understanding car brokerage for both the sale and purchase of desirable automobiles. Anyone that has previously undertaken these tasks knows all too well their inherent complications, including that very precious thing called time. Therefore, since all of us will have to go through these processes, it’s wise to consider the best ways to do so well in advance…or perhaps to avoid a prior bad experience.

There’ll be food, refreshments, information to feed your brain, and it’ll be a fun and informative way to welcome the arrival of spring in Atlanta! Plan to arrive at 10:00 a.m. for registration and an initial look at some rare, interesting, and very attractive automobiles, ranging from a 1935 Hillman Minx, a 1964 Chrysler Imperial Crown, some International Scouts, to Porsches, BMW’s, Ferraris, and of course Mercedes-Benz as some examples of their considerable present inventory. The presentation will begin at 11:00 a.m., followed by a leisurely lunch, more socialization, and closer looks at the cars for anyone wanting to know more about them.

Despite this early notice of the event, it is recommended that you register early as we expect this to be a popular event, and we can comfortably accommodate only about 80 people. The cost for this event is only eight dollars ($8) per person to help defray some costs. Register online at msreg.com/motorcar-studio-event, or by mailing the Peach Page Registration form in this issue along with payment. Contact me, Roger McKissick, at ram1942@bellsouth.net or by phone at (770) 476-2869 if additional information is needed.
