About this event

The fourth event of the SWMS 2009 season, the Second Annual SWMS Monster Mash will take place October 30, 31, and November 1 at Sandia Motorsport Park,
The weekend will begin with a “track day” as usual on Friday October 30, with opportunities to “test and tune” and tech for the weekend driving events. Although supported by the SWMS event, the Friday track day is independent of the weekend event and fees are paid directly to Sandia Motorsports Park.
However, SWMS check-in and technical inspections will be on-site and open for business by 3:00pm of Friday, October 30.
We will be running all of our regular run groups and are hoping to get enough Shifter Karts to make a run group. So if any Karters are interested please contact Bob Lee.
We will present trophies to the winners of Saturday's afternoon race. All Vintage will run together but trophies will be awarded as follows 1100cc and under - 1100 to 1500 - over 1500. Contemporary - Openwheel. We will do 1st 2nd and 3rd for these groups. We will also have an award for the best dressed/scariest car.
Saturday's party will be a pot-luck with hamburgers, hot dogs, beer and soft-drinks provided by the club. Please bring a side dish that would work with this, i.e. chips, beans, potato salad, desserts, etc.
There will also be prizes for the scariest Track Marshall,Driver and Car. The track will be open Friday October 30 from 1-5 for practice. Schedule will be out soon.
There will not be any oval track racing Saturday night.
Saturdays drivers meeting will be at 8AM. Sundays drivers meeting will also be at 8AM...... This is a bit trickier because we go off daylight savings at 2AM Sunday so don't forget to change those clocks. If you snooze you loose.
Sunday's after event party: Bring your left over Trick or treat Halloween candy to share with beer!
This is the last event of 2009 For SWMS our next race will be in May 2010. Try to make this one.
