Welcome to the MIDFLORIDA Auto Show and Lake Mirror Concours!
Now in its 19th year, this show is considered one of the "must do" collector car shows in the southeastern United States. The display of more than 600 show vehicles on and surrounding the restored 1920's art deco inspired Lake Mirror promenade in downtown Lakeland, Florida provides one of the most scenic venues in the country. The event is known for its beautiful lakefront setting and friendly atmosphere. In addition to attracting over 35,000 spectators, the MIDFLORIDA Auto Show and Lake Mirror Concours draw top car collectors from the southeast and serves as a support event to the prestigious Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance.
The Budweiser Hot Rod Rendezvous opens the fun weekend of festivities. This Friday night event on Lake Mirror Park, beginning at 6:00, is a favorite! A show of hot rods & other hot cars, bundled with an outdoor concert / street dance, car parade, food vendors & new car unveiling bundled with a Junior Achievement fundraiser makes for quite an evening under the stars. Cars on display must preregister. Tickets for the Junior Achievement dinner event can be purchased from any of their Board Members.
The Heacock Classic Road Tour on Sunday morning is the final activity of the e of the busy weekend. Registered entrants enjoy a morning drive through the central Florida countryside culminating with lunch and prizes at an undisclosed location. This event is open to all types of vehicles, so you don't need ta show-quality collector car to participate. Our Rally masters plan a great run along scenic routes with challenging questions along the way to our destination and a terrific lunch. Accuracy and attention to detail will help you to win prizes at the end of the run. Mileage to destination usually in the 40-50 mile range and entrants must be preregistered..
The MIDFLORIDA Auto Show and Lake Mirror Concours has become a tremendous source of pride for the city of Lakeland and we welcome you to the show! It's a fabulous 3 days of fun.
Event requirements
There are two Saturday car show events for you to select from; The Lake Mirror Concours, held on the banks and promenade area surrounding Lake Mirror and the Auto Show, held on the tree lined streets of historic Downtown Lakeland. The Concours is limited to approximately 100 premium cars and are invited to be judged by our team of experts. Participating vehicles bust be 1972 or older, must fit one of the categories of cars and be approved by the selection committee. The Auto Show welcomes fine collector cars of all types, ages and preparations. A team of judges will review the cars with awards presented to each class winner. Collector cars are displayed in groups based on type of vehicle. Marque-specific car clubs are encouraged to attend and efforts are made to reserve space for clubs with 10 or more members in attendance.
During registration you will be asked for two things: uploaded photos of your vehicle (one each of the interior, under-hood,and exterior) and a 100 word narrative description of your car for your display sign. IMPORTANT NOTE: Your sign will be prepared from the EXACT text you type. Please.... do not request that we use last year's text....as that's precisely what will appear on your display sign.
If you do not have information and photos available at the time of registration, you can come back to it at a later time to upload photos or edit your description. We cannot evaluate cars for the Lake Mirror Concours without the requested photos.
