Visit the Richta app information page at http://drscca.org/rally/using-the-richta-competitor-app/ to learn more about how the app works and how to use it.
After registration closes, each registered rally team will be given a car number and password to register their device (smart phone or tablet) on the Richta “Competitor” App. The Competitor App stores all of the checkpoint information on that device (locations by Latitude and Longitude and the correct arrival times) but is not visible to the rally teams. During the rally, when each car reaches a checkpoint, the contestant’s device will signal a checkpoint has been reached, display your time and your score and indicate “early” or “late”. Your total score for the rally to that point will also be displayed. This gives you feedback on how well you are doing and adjust what you are doing to improve your future scores. The team (in each class) with the lowest total score is the winner.
Accommodations: Clare Quality Inn: Ph: (989) 262-0452.

Event requirements
Awards will be presented in each of the following classes:
- E (Equipped) – unlimited equipment.
- L (Limited) – Odometer unrestricted (including GPS), and calculating device restricted only in that it may not be integrated with the odometer.
- G - GPS-derived odometer integrated with any calculating device such as a rally “app” or rally computer.
- S (Stock) – distance measurement limited to stock odometer, in stock location. GPS odometers may NOT be used in this Class for any timing calculations.
- N (Novice) – any team where the total number of rallies entered by the two members of the team does not exceed six (6); and equipment is restricted to that of the Stock class.
ATTENTION! the “Competitor App” must be the only app open on that device, everything else must be closed or it may not detect a checkpoint. If you intend to use a TSD rally app to do your calculations, you will need it installed on a different device.
Please read the following carefully and register to compete in the appropriate equipment class.
- Stock Class - You may not use any external odometer or a GPS-based odometer app on a phone or tablet device. You must manually enter mileage into the app using the app’s mileage input function.
- Limited Class – Your mileage can come from any odometer, and you must manually enter mileage into the app using the app’s mileage input function.
- GPS Class - You may choose to use a TSD rally computer app on your phone or tablet that automatically accumulates mileage based upon input from the device’s internal GPS, or from a separate third-party GPS receiver, but not from a driven wheel.
- Equipped Class – Has no restrictions.
- Novice Class - Requirements are identical to Stock class. To qualify as a Novice class competitor (driver and navigator, combined, have competed in six or fewer rallies).
