MBCA Carolinas Section invites you to a Holiday Weekend in historic Aiken, SC beginning Dec.1st thru Dec. 3rd at the The Willcox, the most famous hotel in all of SC where legendary folks have stayed including Winston Churchill, Harold Vanderbilt, and Elizabeth Arden.
On Friday evening Aiken's weekend festivities kick off with the town's traditional tree lighting. Be sure to find out what the Willcox's famous cocktail is just before you make your dining plans at the hotel or one of Aiken's restaurants. On Saturday, after your complimentary In-House Willcox Guest Breakfast, join Rich Mabie for a walking tour. The route includes visits to the Aiken Visitors Center and Train Museum, Savannah River Site Museum and the Thoroughbred Racing Hall of Fame. All three sites are free. The total distance is 1.9 miles but it reduces to 1 mile if we choose to omit the Thoroughbred Racing Hall of Fame. Rich will greet the attendees in the lobby of the The Willcox Hotel at 10 am and proceed on the tour. The estimated total time of the tour to be 3 hours (1 hour for walking and 2 hours spent at the Museums). Lunch is on your own.
we'll meet at a designated area and join Rich Mabie for an event. We'll stop for a short lunch (at your cost) and return to the hotel for a Meet & Greet with Roy Chaney from Dick Dyer Mercedes-Benz. Roy will bring two EQs and make it available for test drives. We'll also have the opportunity for a group photo shoot in front of the Willcox!
Throughout the weekend be sure to visit the Christmas Craft Show featuring handmade crafts and goodies made by talented artisans from across the southeast. Or visit the historic trolley museum, the planetarium, and many other activities being held throughout Aiken.
On Saturday evening we'll mingle with cocktails in the Hunt Room (cash bar) and chat about our day. Tracy Malloy from Hagerty will join us for the evening. After a fabulous 4-course dinner and a special toast, our awards ceremony will follow honoring our Member-of-the-Year and our Office-of-the-Year.

The registration fee for the event is non-refundable. Dinner cancelations are 100% refundable up to October 10, 2023.
