TSD Rally 2: A 2022 MBCA Peachtree TSD Championship Event

The second rally of the 2022 MBCA Peachtree TSD Rally Championship Series will be driven July 17th 2022 near Clayton and Helen, GA.
The rally is going to be “tour” – style Time-Speed-Distance (TSD) competition. The rally will be relatively straight-forward, all significant turns are clearly identified with mileages provided on the Route Instructions. The goal on the rally is to maintain “on time” driving on the timed portions of the rally according to given instructions.
MBCA membership is not required to participate. You are not required to drive Mercedes-Benz, though it is encouraged. If you are a non-member, you will have an opportunity to join the Mercedes-Benz Club of America, Peachtree Section.
This rally is the second of the four rallies, which will constitute the 2022 MBCA Peachtree TSD Championship Series. MBCA members will earn championship points based on their overall finish in this event.
This event will use the Richta GPS Checkpoints app to record arrival times at checkpoints. A smartphone or tablet (Android or iOS) with GPS is required during the running of this rally. Details about obtaining, installing and using this app is available at the Rally Resources webpage on the MBCA Peachtree website.
The rally will start from the parking lot of the Dillard House, in Dillard near Clayton, GA. (768 Franklin Street Dillard GA, 30537). The rally will take us through the beautiful north Georgia mountain scenery, along some long stretches of tree lined highway with spectacular views of the southern Appalachian Mountains and around several lakes with remarkable vistas. Driving through the rally route from the start to the finish will take about 3 hours and will be about 80 miles long. The Rally will conclude at the Unicoi State Park Lodge, near Helen, GA.
General Instructions and route instructions for the rally will be provided by e-mail prior to the event, and participants will be expected to print out their own copies. Organizers will send the scoring results by e-mail.
Event requirements
The Terms of Participation for MBCA events are attached below. Please read them. By registering for this event, you are accepting the Terms of Participation.
Per the Terms of Participation, the vehicle being used in the event shall be insured with at least $100,000.00 per person bodily injury and property damage insurance that will be in effect for the entire duration of the events
Membership in MBCA is NOT required to participate in the rally, but is required to score points in the Peachtree Section Championship
A Mercedes-Benz vehicle is NOT required to participate in the rally
