About this event
Welcome To the Maryhill Loops Vintage Hillclimb Revival
Celebrating Vintage Rally Cars and Motorcycles
We hope that whether you are a spectator, volunteer worker, driver or participant that you will enjoy the 2020 Maryhill Loops Vintage Hillclimb.
The Hillclimb was originally run from 1955 to 1963 when the road was washed away during a severe winter storm. The road was restored as a National Historic Site in 1998 and Robert Bush, a former Goldendale resident and Hillclimb enthusiast convinced the Society of Vintage Racing Enthusiasts (SOVREN) to sanction the Hillclimb Revival in the fall of 1999. SOVREN continued to sanction the event until 2014.
In 2015 the management and promotion of the event was taken over by the Maryhill Loops Vintage Hillclimb Association (MLVHA). The event remains a SOVREN points race on the SOVREN calendar even though MLVHA is now the sanctioning body. The group now considers the racing venue somewhat of a Motorsports Reunion as it attracts vintage prewar cars, vintage carts and motorcycles and cars sanctioned by vintage road racing groups such as SOVREN, SCCA, Conference and vintage cars outside of the Pacific Northwest.
MLVHA Membership fee is $250.00 for cars and $200.00 for karts and motorcycles. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, there is no Maryhill Museum Car Show this year.
Social distancing is required. All participants, spectators and workers must follow WA state and Klickitat County guidelines regulating the wearing of masks in public places.
Note that due to site limitations, registration is limited to 55 vehicles. Priority is given to prior entrants who have received an invitation from MLVHA.
